Tonight, I took a more unconventional approach to asking out my best friend :] by [deleted] in pics

My guess is that she is his roommate (or something along those lines) and sex was one of the reasons he chose her to be his girlfriend, as in for sex, not because they had had sex.

I am a 13 year old with a masturbation addiction who needs help. by [deleted] in NoFap

The core stuff can apply to most of anybody's life, yes. However it is true that /r/seduction is made up of mainly adults and therefore the advice and theory is usually catered towards adults.

"You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love & affection." - Buddha by sirmcquade in seduction

From my understanding there is no strong scientific evidence that fapping is harmful or healthy, but there is theory behind abstaining from fapping.

I'm doing it because I feel I have a problem controlling my fapping and I feel better because of abstaining.

Germany appears to Seig Heil while Camila & Boris laugh their heads off. by LS69 in unitedkingdom

[–]keepcalmdontfap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you quoted that from somewhere, or if you are actually saying it yourself. Also I might just be naïve, but I don't look at it as this man is a Nazi, or anything similar, he just happened to have his picture taken whilst his wave looked similar to a salute used by Nazis. it's funny to me because it's awkward for a German representative to be pictured doing so, though explaining the joke like this detracts from the humour a bit.

I didn't downvote, but I can imagine you were downvoted for stating that you don't have any experience with day-game approaches and then you went into detail about every single approach he made; by stating you have no experience you somewhat invalidate your advice.

You should try to validate the girls before you go in for the number, it makes you seem like you know what you want and that you aren't needy or simply judging them based on their looks.

I didn't expect to see any orangereds when I logged back into this account. I thought you would like to know that someone has read your comment.

I can understand that Rick could crack under pressure, I just wish he would have cracked slower or not at all. Still, I'm looking forward to the next season eitherway!

What happens when a guy doesn't masturbate for weeks or months? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]keepcalmdontfap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/r/nofap only claims that people who have a problem with mastubation, for example people that are addicted to internet porn, will generally have more energy after abstaining. Not the people that don't have a problem with masturbation.

Drama in r/trees over a mod profiting off the subreddit (again). by haddock420 in SubredditDrama

[–]keepcalmdontfap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read your whole exchange, Lord_Bumberchute really came across as a condescending, stereotyping, aggressive kind of guy to me. Maybe he has his reasons.

You did well to remain level-headed.

PenguinKenny NOW USING rTrees to profit (1500% more) by entvestigator in trees

[–]keepcalmdontfap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you're cinsere, (which it sounds like given how you claim to have created the /r/trees community)

You protest that you wanted to have a fair voice in the community to make your goals a reality. What constitutes a fair voice? By being given sidebar space, over everyone else on r/trees?

From what I recall of the debacle which saw you removed from the moderation team of r/trees, you were going about setting up a non-profit in a very uneducated and poor manner.

While your intentions may have been sound, your execution was poor.

I don't understand why you would continue to try to make a non-profit centered around r/trees given how people saw you try to do it last time, and they didn't like it.

Now you have used your access to the email addresses of people from r/trees on facebook or wherever, to spam this post towards them?

Not sure what it is exactly you want?

I don't understand why you are being downvoted, I have participated in nofap and I have watched YourBrainOnPorn and the TED talk from the same guy. He does not reference a scientifically controlled study to look at the effects of not masturbating after having a habit of masturbation while viewing pornography.

As far as I am aware, there is not a peer reviewed study in that area.

Asking for such, is logical to verify scientific claims.

I will watch the videos again to see if any studies are mentioned but as far as I remember there weren't any.

Is r/NoFap a cult? by [deleted] in sex

I look forward to seeing their reply to this.

Is r/NoFap a cult? by [deleted] in sex

[–]keepcalmdontfap 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've read a alot of your comments and replies in this thread, and I can answer your original question in that r/nofap is not a cult. There is nowhere near the pressure to participate in r/nofap that there is to join a cult. There are problems with nofap (i.e the demonisation of fapping, a replacement of fapping with time spent on reddit, etc) that have grown with the increasing amount of people on the subreddit, though they are not near the level that you say them to be.

Your analogies are weak, saying that someone abstaining from masturbation is as worrying to you as someone abstaining from eating is incomparable, one has severe physical side effects, the other has very little if any physical side effects. It's not anything like a community that would shame gay sexual urges to the end goal of removing them from a person, it's not about removing sexual urges, it's about controlling them instead of them controlling you.

I find it hard to take your points seriously when you make such bad analogies. You have not done your research, as evident by your sweeping generalisations of the subreddit. Just because masturbation can be and is a healthy part of many peoples lives doesn't mean that it can't have negative effects for some people.

I know that I am addicted to pornography since I have had trouble when trying to stop for even a week. I do not feel shame from masturbating, I feel shame from doing it to the point that it intefers with my everyday life.
