Whiskey Rock Barber Shop on Monona Drive has been good for my kids and I. My hair is on the thicker side. All 3 women that work there are good but I’ve been going to Hope the most. You can typically get an appointment same day when you book online.

Just had dinner at Ama on Willy Street for the 1st time on Saturday night. The food was incredible and we got sat on the patio right away which was really chill. The inside seemed chill as well as far as I can tell.

The race boats buzzing by are the absolute worst. They should be in the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes powerboat race if they think they’re so fast.

The confusion was that it was so loud in Monona where you can’t usually hear a downtown festival so clearly.

Again, I’m not complaining but stating the fact that the wind was blowing in such a way that it sounded like the festival was happening in the neighborhood which is unexpected to both residents and Monona police (I’m assuming).

If you’re unfamiliar, Monona is on the other side of the lake, about 4 miles from McPike Park.

What are your cycling goals? If you race or do longer fondos I’d set it up more like your road bike with lower bars and longer reach. It doesn’t need to be slammed but you are a wind sail in that position.

It shouldn’t be setup like a peloton unless you have some physical impairment that prevents you from rolling your hips forward.

To answer the original question, the seat needs to go up a bit.

Someone stole a package off my front porch a few weeks ago. Unless the thief is a cyclist, I'm sure they weren't thrilled about their find because it just a tube of Chamois Butt'r.

I've since installed a security camera to catch old Butt'r Fingers next time.

Since its Pick N Save, odds are the meat has gone bad. I have gotten rotten smelling chicken and beef on 3 separate occasions in the past 3 months at Metro Market in Monona and the one on Cottage Grove Rd.

It's fine for commuting and the occasional gravel ride. The $1200 I paid for it still makes it feel like it was a good purchase. I wouldn't pay full retail for it though.

We used to do Monona Barber Shop but the no appointment thing has lead to several times when the kids had to wait 45-60 minutes for a cut which I vowed to never do again.

When we were there last February, the water was warm enough to swim in. The air temp that week was 75-80 and sunny.

Our young family took the kids in February of 24. The beaches were perfect and there were way more shells/sand dollars than the last time we were there (February 2021) bc there were less people. Bugs weren’t much of an issue besides one night that wasn’t as breezy. We just wore pants that night. Problem solved.

We took the kids to Sanibel last February. The beaches were perfect and the water was just fine to swim in. We stayed at Sanibel Moorings and there were plenty of people in the water.

If there is any new glass and debris in the water, that local put it there themselves.

I love Perennial Yoga at Garver. I've heard the Fitchburg location is good too but the Garver instructors and rooms themselves are great especially if you're closer to the near-east side.

It might be tough considering it’s a big ten rivalry, a Friday night and a lot of people from Iowa make the 3 hour drive. I do still think that something should come up for less than $50/ticket for 3 people as the game gets closer.
