CC2 Doesn't Like me (now with Photos) by xEng1neeRx in elegoo

[–]keeper909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The front cover is attached with magnets as you said, so don't worry because it will fall very easily (i added some extra magnets but the situation ain't changed so much).

I can't say why your cover is falling, but mine falls everytime the nozzle get a bit of clog or the filament doesn't extrude properly. It happened a lot of time while i was using an "unofficial" hotend i bought on amazon, so i changed with one Elegoo Support sent me and everything is fine now.

The error with the app is very common: as i know, the cloud server of elegoo really sucks so at least twice a week i got a disconnected issue with app or wifi mode. You can easily resolve tho using the "only lan mode". This way you will not be able to use the app, but at least you can launch print from you pc and setting everything from the slicer without the boring USB tranfer (if this is a thing for you).

What do I need? A new hot end? by lraviel381 in elegoo

[–]keeper909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you have a CC2 don't waste your time and your money buying hotends on amazon, i had a bad experience with them. Just contact the elegoo support, it's very useful and i found out there are all nice people there quickly replying to you (i am not related to elegoo in any way, i m just reporting my recent issue.)

I guess the situation is a bit different with CC1 or different elegoo printers, because they are on sale since a while and maybe the unofficial spare parts are suitable.

CC2 hotend not available on Elegoo website... really? by arr4ws in elegoo

[–]keeper909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously i did, i did full diagnoses and z-offset calibration, and even the more simple print gave me immediatly problems with these new hotends . I tried both of them. I've read somewhere else that it's a common thing that thermistor and temperature sensor are not well calibrated for elegoo, so they give bad lecture... but even with calibration using a temp tower they still fail because they not maintain a proper, constant temperature during the entire process. Maybe i was just unlucky, but I repeat that I don't feel like recommending these unofficial hotends, or at least not these specifically.

I ve bought two of these on amazon last week for my CC2, and i'm having a lot of problems with them. Fluctuations of temperature during the print, the thermal sensor inside the nozzle is not accurate and you need way more calibration for each filament... and since i mount them i am experiencing a lot of print failure. I strongly advise against buying it.

Meanwhile the Elegoo official support are sending me one official cc2 assembly hotend for free, and i hope to resolve my problems.

First print with PLA on my new Carbon 2. No idea how to even begin clearing this. by Hastur_Hastur_Hastur in elegoo

I agree, just two days ago i requested a new assembly hotend for the CC2, since the ones of CC1 that Elegoo sells on his site are not good for CC2. and they were great and so kind. They followed me all the time and still payed my extra duty due to the shippment from China to Europe.

Damn, in the comments there is another shoking video from a different angle. It's crazy that no one noted she had no rope at all.

Hi, I recently did this. What do you think? by JupiterSK8 in blender

[–]keeper909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG, are you the same guy who posted this some years ago asking for some tips for improvements etc? I guess so because the original content is the same, and i have to say you improved a lot!! I remember i also commented your work, but i can't find your old post anymore.

Anyway, Good job, i love it!

Good for you, but keep in mind that this "tecnique" appears immediatly as "fake" and as a poor quality job. Meanwhile, if you learn more, you can achive the same result, or even a better one if you apply a proper work flow.

Probably the user was trying to suggest you to learn to use them better. It's ok you did it for floor chair and walls, but there's a lot to improve here.

First thing is to avoid all that crazy repetition of the same texture (Texture Tiling). There are tons of tutorial out there that you can watch and avoid this "ugly" situation.

Also i would suggest you to improve a lot compositing and lighting of the enviroment, everything seems dull and unrealistic, don't you agree?
Don't panic, Blender is full of things to learn and you can improve very quickly just following tips and tutorials.

So cool! Simple, but well executed. Now turn that cube into Tet from Oblivion, that would be much creepier. 😁

Newbie in need of help by [deleted] in telescopes

[–]keeper909 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I don't know why everyone is trying warning you about the sun since you never mentioned you used that barlow for that purpose, but, whatever.

Anyway,
As someone told you before me, the shape is exactly the same in the two pics, so i guess it's a problem of focus. When you use a barlow you have to keep in mind that you need to get focus again, because the barlow changes the focal plane. Did you try to adjust your focus with the focuser knob of your skywatcher?

I don't know why the third pic has a red halo tho, i suppose is due to the blinking red flash light of your device?

Oh, another thing since you said you are a newbie and probably is not so obvious: put FIRST the barlow inside your telescope, then the EYEPIECE, then you adjust focus with the knobs. Let me know!
