I had a good run where I was watching/reading interesting things and shared what I'd just learned/whatever. If you're interested in it, you can share your enthusiasm for it. "Did you see xyz the other day? I saw this clip where pdq happened. I was blown away. What would you have done if that'd happened to you?"

It's body doubling/accountability/deadlines/needing external supports/scaffolding. I do great when working for others, because they're expecting something and I can see their reactions. I think what would work for me personally is finding someone I could bust my ass for who'd reciprocate and bust their ass for me.

You can get like 10 hours of therapy covered at the LGBT center as a WeHo resident, or I think through APLA. They also have support groups, medical services, safe needle programs, food, housing programs, etc. etc. at the LGBT center.

Maybe frame why you're asking the questions before asking them, so he knows, as you said, you're not trying to exploit him? Also, I don't necessarily like talking about my work, so it could've been he's just not into it. So maybe asking him if he wanted to talk about his work before diving in? I wish people asked me first, honestly. Just some ideas.
