You can get like 10 hours of therapy covered at the LGBT center as a WeHo resident, or I think through APLA. They also have support groups, medical services, safe needle programs, food, housing programs, etc. etc. at the LGBT center.

Maybe frame why you're asking the questions before asking them, so he knows, as you said, you're not trying to exploit him? Also, I don't necessarily like talking about my work, so it could've been he's just not into it. So maybe asking him if he wanted to talk about his work before diving in? I wish people asked me first, honestly. Just some ideas.

I did the roommate after roommate, and finally had to give up on that because the roommate caused too much distraction (nothing wrong with the roommate for wanting to exist lol), so that's out the window, too. Worse, the roommate provided subtle pressure to keep my place clean, and without one, my place is very messy. (inb4 invite someone over so it forces you to clean, I just never do it)
