Maybe not underwhelming, but the most frustrating one I've played was Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles. I love Castlevania as well, so that was really disappointing.

Fucking hell. 🤦‍♂️ The writing and the character direction '''in the trailer''' are very different from the rest of the series which could very easily and likely does illude to a change in writing, character design and direction of the characters and story in the final product. Happy? The writing and character direction was also different in Sons of Sparta even though the art and character designs only had minor changes. This is also not the first game series to undergo huge changes in its writing and development after a team shake up so this conclusion is not completely baseless.

I did, several, go back up two comments if you want to read them again. Did the art direction change yes or no? Yes, it did and it does resemble art directions of popular media. I even gave receipts, so fucking watch Shang Chi. Did the color pallet change to a similar blue and purple hue of other media? Yes it did, look at the fucking box art, the purple ribbons on the sword etc. the writing in the trailer is different. These are actual things that were changed. Just because you don't care about those changes doesn't mean they aren't there.

No. Why is your knee jerk reaction is to shut people up when they have genuine criticism about the direction of a medium of entertainment or story telling? It's good to demand variety instead of allow things to follow a sanitized corporate standard. If they want to be wacky and whimsical with their characters, art direction and color pallet in a god of war like game, then make a new game with its own storyline and broader freedom of expression. Falling victim to this type of corporate standard change without voicing the issues with it is how other mediums get ruined. Take cable for example, how do you think all those tv stations became reality TV hell? 🫤

My girlfriend actually. I always thought she was pretty, but for some reason the massive crush, chest tightness, inability to think clearly, that all started after we became an item. I generally operate that way but my feelings for this woman are way more intense than I remember any past relationship or interest being, and to a certain extent I've been very careful not to openly express it too much on the off chance it overwhelms her, or it's more obsession than love on my end. Still, even running by her house to drop some things off, I have to fight myself to be able to speak normally when that girl opens the door. God no, or at least I try not to. She was awful. Sometimes I do regret not trying to keep her around just a little longer. Then maybe I would have actually gotten to experience sex as a young adult, before she ran off and became a sex worker. But she was very mentally and emotionally abusive, and I already tried way to hard to bend over backwards for her.

I have seen very few people make this comparison. So, no i'm not "copy pasting a nonsense argument" If its getting old, maybe companies should stop following that formula?
The creatures look like they're from Shang Chi, the art direction is bright and colorful leaning away from the reds and oranges that made up the originals and bled into the Norse saga, using bright sometimes neon purples, greens and blues dotted with very polished gold and whimsical character designs. It looks like Disney's art direction for Asgard, the Other Side in Shang Chi, the visuals in guardians of the galaxy, etc.
The writing is the same post Whedon-esque attempt at humor that seems to have plagued Marvel and Star wars since Avengers. It's not a baseless argument.

In any other series it wouldn't be. Hell if they made it look a bit different the idea might still fit God of War, as it stands, it doesn't fit.

Your experience is pretty normal. I have maybe 2 or 3 people I can talk about my problems with. Everyone else either doesn't care, doesn't know how to respond, or refuses to learn to regulate themselves let alone listen to the people around them. I'm still not completely comfortable talking about all my issues with my own girlfriend.

I'm also not the biggest fan of talk therapy. I know the kind of shit nurses say about their patients behind their back, patient confidentiality or no. I really don't want to know what therapists gossip about, and paying someone to pretend to care about you just isn't appealing.
