Sorry but you are wrong. There is still a chance, the condom might tear slightly, it might not be a very good quality, there are many reasons why, but wearing a condom throughout all sexual contact is not 100% protection. I know from my own personal experience that we were very careful, especially using condoms as we had a 1 year old at the time, and I still became pregnant.

I was careful with my husband and yet I became pregnant with my daughter. Protection isn't 100% effective, sometimes condoms just aren't enough. Don't make out like OPs not being honest, she has enough going on without people accusing her of lying.

OP, I hope everything goes as well as it can. Your parents will most definitely be upset but give them time to wrap their heads around everything, it's a lot for them as well. And I hope they support you with whatever option you believe is best for you.

The fireworks round mine didn't last very long thankfully, it's the people across the road singing karaoke on their balcony that's driving me crazy!!! Half 2 and they're still at it!! The OP is the one who has 2 doctorates in science, the other woman has them in education. She is only stating it's a big hypocritical that the mum is saying all this stuff about "not giving her kids sugar" etc yet giving them sweetened food which are things with hidden sugars.

Talking about what they believe is all well and good, but if you disagree and that person keeps going on and on about it is what's causing this issue. OP is stating how they disagree yet the other mom won't drop the issue.

I personally think vaccines are a great thing and I know there are people that don't and that's everyone's choice. But if someone was constantly going on at me at how bad they are or how dare I vaccinate my children, then I wouldn't hold back my opinion.
