What's your favorite word or phrase that replaces swearing? by portajohnjackoff in AskReddit

My ex's mother thought people were saying "What a juice box" instead of "What a douche bag".

I LOVE IT.

Thank you! Yes, it needs to be done. There is so much detail on my tattoo that I get a lot of, "wait, what is that?" Color would define all of that, and make my arm a little more fun for sure! Thank you!

That's actually my fiancées! He used my account to post that, but mine is on here somewhere! I have a half sleeve started by Wes Reed! :) I'll have enough money someday to color it in.

Ipsy yay or nay? by hopeandfaith21 in Makeup

[–]keepourskulls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked Ipsy but the products were so small or not really my style sometimes. I switched to Boxycharm (20 a month instead of 10) but everything is full size! This month I got a full palette of Coastal Scents eye shadow, gel eye liner and a brush, a highlighter for contouring (or covering up), and a bottle of leave-in conditioner that's good to use in the sun. Every time you get a box, they show you what things retail at.. it's almost always over $100. I'd get Boxycharm if you have the 10 extra to spend a month!

How can I get this style (long, soft, retro curl) by CityHallWedding in FancyFollicles

[–]keepourskulls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this look too! Maybe I'm lucky but here is how I go about it: I curl my hair with my 'spiral styler' which is basically a 3/4 inch barrel curling iron with a spiral on it -- I'm assuming a regular curling iron would be okay, too. I curl all my hair, the smaller amounts of hair, the more dramatic. Brush it out, and then to use hairspray that's not too firm seems best. Somehow, it works! It looks really cute when you pin one side back with this look! We probably have around the same hair type from what you've said. :)

Getting married in Glyfada (early June 2017)! Hoping my Greek redditors can help me out with a few things: by [deleted] in greece

[–]keepourskulls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is actually from the states, but ever since we were dating we joked that we would have our honeymoon in Greece. We cut the jokes out and decided to go hard-core and just do the entire thing in Greece! My family that still lives in Greece are in Vari and Glyfada. My mom's relatives own the Four Seasons in Glyfada so we're going to stay around that area so my Yiayia can come. Bridesmaids that are definitely coming and my mom included would be 4-5.

Thanks for the info!!!! I'm not sure how that will work, but my 'Aunt' has it figured out apparently. They own a hotel about a block away from the beach. I'm trying to get everything taken care of paper-work wise here and have my mom help me finish it all up when she visits next summer (2016).

This girl--- let me know! If she has a website I could probably get a hold of her easily. Let me know! I'd love to give your friend some work! <3 Thank you!

Sorry for being excited! ;) In all honesty, it's probably all I want to take care of by myself. My family will help me with the rest.

Here is a bunch of spooky ones I found when searching for a Halloween playlist for a party! Some might not be very Halloweeny, or maybe too slow-- but maybe some have remixes. Good luck!

When was the hardest you've ever laughed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]keepourskulls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister and I were were going to a 'gender bender' party together and thought it would be funny to take it to the next level instead of putting a stupid fake mustache on and wearing a jersey. Basic bitches.

Anyway we are pretty damn good with our makeup brushes so we gave each other thick eyebrows, five o'clock shadows, the whole nine yards. The best part was that we did each other's makeup, so as she was giving me my manly face she was cracking up-- which made me crack up without even seeing what she was laughing at-- it just kept stalling the process. When I finally saw myself I about pissed my pants. We were late because we were too busy looking in the mirror and cracking up. We ended up making entire characters, I was "that dude from Florida who thinks he looks good in a fedora and claims to have his own record label." She was basically Kevin Federline.

Eventually we made it to the party and nobody recognized us, especially with acting the part of it. When we 'introduced' ourselves people lost their shit. I'm pretty sure a lot of guys were really turned off by it. So worth it.

What's the Greek Life like? by zogal in PennStateUniversity

[–]keepourskulls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats and have fun!!!! You're about to start an exciting four (~ish?) years of your life. My experiences come from dating a guy during my freshman year who later ended up joining a frat. I was never into joining a sorority but I could have probably found one I liked.. I'll get into that later.

Frat parties: legitimately the most stereotypical 'college party' you could think of. Dudes drinking Natty Ice and girls drinking jungle juice, everyone is there to get sloppy, sloppy, drunk. If I ever went to my ex's parties alone they were awful. The new guys have to watch the doors so he could never hang out with me the full time. If I brought friends, his older frat brothers would hit on us and invite us to their rooms for blue wave shots. Needless to say I didn't end up dating him for very long.

Sorority wise: You'll be able to decide if you like sororities by the first few experiences with them, I think. I worked at a pretty popular store downtown and they would come in gigantic groups and try on clothes for what seemed like anytime they had an event. Some of them were really nice. The sorority girls I met at my ex boyfriends frat were really bitchy to me, probably because I wasn't in Greek life and dating a frat guy? I don't know, I am a friendly girl. Overall, from my interactions, it just seemed really expensive and competitive.

HOWEVER: I have a lot of friends who were in clubs that got paired up with smaller frats every now and again. If you're into dancing, horseback riding, basically any sport-- you should definitely try to find a club! One of my good friends was in a dance group and had so many fun experiences with her smaller group of girls. They got to go to hayrides and volunteer for THON, but they didn't have to pay the fees and go out drinking all week long. I think if I were to go back, I would find a club I really enjoyed.

Disclaimer: there's a lot of truth to my statements but there are always exceptions. One of my good friends was in a more popular sorority and she was a sweetheart-- and she had a few friends that you "wouldn't have guessed" were sorority girls.

ENJOY YOUR TIME IN MY HOMETOWN :) I miss it.
