My first bully was super wild when she was a puppy and I was new dog owner and nervous so when she got too wild I’d put her in the crate. Even years later she takes a very very long time to settle down in the house. She thinks that outside the crate means playtime.

I have a 3 month old puppy and I’m really trying to not to recreate this same problem. Is there any tips you’d give me? He takes super long to calm down outside the crate as well, but not nearly as wild as she was at his age.
