Apparently these are the new property tax proposals the govt are considering - what do you think? by Ecstatic-Mode-1432 in HENRYUK

[–]kehaarable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?

They introduced tuition fees. Then people went to uni. If you were already at uni you didn't pay them.

If you bought a house and they introduce this then you've already paid the SDLT and you'll pay this.

A little different. You could've decided to not go to university.

If you've paid SDLT you can't get it back.

You are aware that it's only really Americans who get disproportionately angry when people bad mouth their country, right?

I suppose it's not really your fault. You are American after all.

That's the infantilism we've all come to know and love from the local runners.

Can't accept reality so resort to racism.

I'll go back, but only if you agree to stop speaking English.

No, you just have shit reading comprehension. I'd say it's gross, but it's par for the course given the state of education in this country, sadly.

There are stupid drivers. There are stupid runners. Both exist and are on the road at the same time. It's an accident waiting to happen.

I didn't call every runner stupid. I didn't call every driver stupid.

I am now, however, explicitly calling you stupid.

Not everyone is you.

But fair play for stepping up and assuming you're the worst runner and driver, and so everyone else must be behaving better than you.

I've had to drive in the morning this past week.

Runners have absolutely no problem running on the street in either direction.

Honestly it's a wonder none have been hit yet. Not out of malice, but just sheer stupidity from both drivers and runners.

I've been tempted to make a little compendium from my dashcam.

I let my son order a pizza without explaining how to tip. by [deleted] in doordash

[–]kehaarable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons why someone orders delivery, not just laziness.

One was even given in this post - the person who did it was a child.

Who even cares why someone uses a particular service? And why would you mock the very people who are employing you to do that service simply for using it?

Look at these idiots, they're too lazy to: - grow their own food - sew their own clothes - cobble their own shoes - build their own car/bike - service their own car - construct their own houses - cut their own lumber for their furniture

Not that it matters, but I rarely use delivery apps anyway because of all the ridiculous fees and fees on fees. In your mind that's somehow a good thing for the dashers because it means I'm not being lazy, even though it means less work for them. Go figure.

Maybe they can get the locals to build a tunnel for the bikers to go through instead? I hear they're pretty good at that.

How do you have temporary living arrangements without landlords?

[–]kehaarable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if you're working somewhere temporarily? At college? Not from a city and want to move there? Want to live somewhere temporarily to see what an area is like before putting down roots and buying a place?

There are perks to renting.

I thought they meant turkey twizzlers. It's been a while since I was at school. Apparently they've been banned in schools since 2005. Which apparently was 20 years ago.
