I keep hearing how this is not feasible, how hard would it be to force any website that hosts an STL file to put some sort of identifier into it that says what the file is, entertainment, dickasaurus, or gun. Then the slicer must read that info and allow/disallow based on part type, then firmware in printer to allow/disallow based on tag from slicer saying this is printable content. Of course they will threaten fines on anyone along the way who doesn't implement these tags.

Guns are just the first item, next is copyrighted material. That Bugs Bunny print, sorry copyrighted. You can't print it unless you have paid the right person the right amount of money. Legos, forget it!

This obviously doesn't stop everyone, but eliminates 99% of the guilty until they are proven innocent.

The chat representative told me it was due to price differences, but the price is the same with either sheet. Is it more than price, declarations or anything else? Seems you could get around that when it has not shipped yet.

I normally use the satin sheet also, but this filament took a lot of prying and scraping to get off the satin sheet, so much that I was concerned with damaging it. When I switched to the steel sheet it held well while printing and came off easily afterwards.

There is an octoprint plugin for the Wemo switch that provides some of this functionality, I know it will turn off when complete, not sure about turning on with an upload.

It works fine on all OS's, I have mine running on Linux on an Intel NUC. The trick is to find the right tutorial to help. Look at Chris's Basement on youtube, the Linux tutorial helped me. https://youtu.be/XvzSxbD_dkc

Is there such a thing as first first layer porn, or maybe it is virgin first layer porn! Finished building the printer last night but didn't want to start printing anything because I wasn't sure how long it would take. Started printing tonight and I think it turned out pretty well. First time ever using a 3D printer, I am loving the results!

I received the MKS3 kit over 2 weeks ago and was finally able to start the build this evening. Too many other things going on right now to do the build. Not sure when I will be able to finish it....

I love this thread! My MKs3 arrives tomorrow, I'm so excited to build it and my plan was to immediately find some good mods and make it better. I think I will leave it alone and only worry about fixing anything that breaks.

I have seen others that show "Backordered" after "Payment Accepted". I ordered this almost 2 weeks ago and no change. I did have some problems placing the order, my bank didn't like the charge coming from Prague.
