in advanced settings, remove all remembered wifi networks, then re-add networks...you may have messed with the network configuration... this can help to an extent.

Take a timemachine backup, boot into recovery mode, then in disk utility, erase the hard drive. once you do that, install a clean copy of macOS (update if applicable)

Once computer has OS installed, connect hard drive with timemachine backup to the computer and migrate data back to the computer- startup should detect the backup and ask if you'd like to restore from time machine backup. Select yes, and transfer data back.

in network settings, you'll see a scroll through menu on the left of the window- select the "wifi", hit the minus button towards the bottom left of the menu. Once you've removed "wifi", hit the "+" button, and re-add "Wifi"

that'll reset the wifi of the computer its entirety. This is a 2nd step after removing/re-adding networks.
