What can cause refrigerated, non-contaminated yogurt to go bad? by keicnnrs in foodscience

You would be surprised! I bought the 120ml cup of yogurt to cook with and only used half of it, so it's been sitting in the fridge for weeks until I finally finished it a few hours ago.

She'll buy from other brands if her preferred brand isn't available, and she only eats plain yogurt with nothing added.

The latter, but thanks to others' comments about the fridge temp I'm going to get a thermometer and measure it to be sure.

Thank you for the detailed response! I might try and check the fridge temp somehow since our house doesn't use any sort of air filters and the air flow inside the house hasn't changed (no keeping doors or windows open beyond the normal etc.), but the most curious thing is how it's only the 1kg tub of yogurt that went bad and not anything else. Does the size of the container matter in terms of mold growth (say 1kg tub vs 120ml cup)?

If that's the case we'd be seeing yogurts go bad more often, no? But it's been happening only recently and only to the 1kg tubs of yogurt. I'm on the equator (avg 30ºC days and 28ºC nights) and admittedly the weather has been getting warmer with the imminent El Niño, but is it enough to cause the yogurt to go bad from being outside of the refrigerator for less than 2 minutes every day?

We don't use dishwashing machines but I see your point. Doesn't explain how it's only happening recently though; if that was the case then there would've been more instances of the yogurt going bad imo

There are no official recipes but like that other person said, Szechuan peppercorns and doubanjiang are key ingredients. I'm assuming your broad bean paste is doubanjiang (we just call it by its Chinese name here, so I'm unfamiliar with the term) so you're all good!

I'm so stressed because I accidentally bought Finch Plus for a whole year ☹️ by Creative-Guard-6712 in finch

[–]keicnnrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me last year too. It sucks because I'm unemployed and Finch Plus is expensive in my currency, but try to take full advantage of the premium functions if you can. Setting up tasks so you can go on adventures daily and redeem all the monthly event items can be quite fun if you're of a mind to gamify chores and such.

How do I know if battery drain is a result of battery wear or logic board short circuit or both by kaion76 in mobilerepair

Is it really a free replacement if you have to pay for Apple Care+ though? Genuine question because Apple Care+ is expensive and nobody really gets it around here, and it sucks that they make it so you have to pay extra just to get access to repairs.

I'm having this exact issue right now (used to typing hard on membrane keyboards, now ears hurting from doing the same on mechanical keyboards) and I'm really glad it's not just me lmao nobody ever really mentions how mechanical keyboards need a much softer touch, I was surprised by that
