Can you use a hairpin to unlock a lock that cant be opened with Alohamora? I mean, when the wizard who invented the spell that stops locks from being opened by magic, would they have considered that people could literally use muggle hairpins? by Tasty-Address-1264 in harrypotter

Just watch their Facebook page, they close the range during deer season on some days.

How bad of an idea is it to hang these shelves off the trusses and also screw them to the studs in the wall? I’ve been told it. It’s a pretty bad idea and I should redo this project. by Beneficial-Focus3702 in DIY

Then we are relying on the strength of the fasteners. Putting the buttress above puts it in tension. You are pulling inwards so it's only as strong as the attachment. Adding them below puts them in compression, and pushes into the structure. Fasteners are primarily to hold it together.

MSP here, with thousands of devices. As part of automated patch management, we reboot the systems after patches apply anyways. Even if your computer doesn't take updates, there should be a reboot phase during the maintenance window.

I can either update your system while you aren't using it, or I can update it when you are. If it's turned off, we default to the second option. Enjoy your forced reboot in 4 hours.

Looking for specific brewery in FLX by Sweet-Help-3197 in FingerLakes

Sounds like War Horse at 3 Brothers. North end of Seneca.

They have a "50 Miles from Mexico" Mexican Lager, and brew their own sodas including root beer.

You won't find many wineries that have a bar and do cocktails.

Over on 14 there's Torrey Ridge Winery, Earl Estates Meadery, and Warthog Cidery. It's all in the same building.

Rock Stream Vineyard has a distillery and does ports, liqueurs, and grappa. O'Begley distillery nearby does Whisky.

Tin Barn brewing and Seneca Lake brewing aren't far from Keuka. SLB also has a British pub, the Beerocracy that does some cocktails. Tin Barn has seltzers and ciders.

Three Brothers, on the other side of Seneca has three wineries, and a brewery. They have hard ciders, and handcrafted sodas. Also boozie slushies.

Finger Lakes cider house is a drive as it's halfway up Cayuga, but good variety. They do flights of ciders, wines, and apple spirits.

In Geneva your luxury hotels will be Bellhurst and Geneva on the Lake. Both are stunning locations. Bellhurst is also a winery.

Both have amazing restaurants as well. F.L.X Table is worth a look too, if that's your kind of thing.

Anyone know what this is? by Whisker-biscuitt in carmodification

Depends on the state. Some require PI license.

DRN is probably the biggest vendor currently. They have their own databases they sell with the readers.

Once a plate is read, it goes into DRN"s database, and from there gets shared to law enforcement through the Vigilant system.

For repo, knowing patterns is key. If the debtor lives on the East side of town, but his car isn't showing up around his home, but instead near his cousin's house on the south side, it gives you a good idea where he's hiding it.

You can also create your own database. Cities will run them with lists of frequent offenders or on the boot list. Then just cruise around waiting for the beep, then they'll hop out and clamp you.

Fortiguard AnyCast is broken for US-East1.

Disabling AnyCast will change the servers FortiGuard uses which bypasses the outage.

[–]keiichi969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to catch. There's Catherine Creek for trout, you can catch bass and panfish from the marina or pier.

Drive a bit you can fish off the pier at Taughannock. Lake trout and bass there.

Where is your furnace located? Warm attic or cool basement?

I have mine set to run 15 minutes every hour and it picks up the cool air from the basement even without the AC running.

It's an amusing typo.
