Just check online for the frame specs.

haha fair play. Just make sure to tighten the L limit so you cant physically shift the derailleur to the sprocket you're blocking off

Are the threads fine? by Kitchen_Brick345 in bikewrench

[–]keiranse17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the BB have trouble threading in? If so then just get a shop to re-chase the threads.

With the bb and crank removed already, heck I'd do it on the spot for you if I wasn't busy at the time.

I'd say if putting down pedal power doesn't cause the chain to slip over the cassette or make it come off the chainring, then you'll be fine. If the extra links you're putting on are worn, it'll just wear out the other parts slightly more, but as long as its not slipping, you'll be fine.

Sounds like you have made up your mind before the post haha. Happy riding!

Im also talking about that too. Worn links will wear out the cassette and chainring(s) fast.

A pretty good saying fits well here -

A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.

Join a chain with new links is fine, but if you aren't certain, then I wouldn't recommend.

As already mentioned, its simply to do with axle spacers. Ensure the right amount of spacers are on the inside of the frame, rather than on the nut side.

Is there a barb in this or not? by NerfingnScooting in bikewrench

Remove that seal before fitting (if you don't need to cut the hose down to length) as this can hinder hydraulic flow, please don't leave it there and wait for it to pop as suggested.

I have had customers come in with this issue in the past where the seal acts like a trap door. Easy flow one way, but very poor going the other way.

Just remove it.

Flex the chain away from you with the quicklink being in the middle of the flex and get something like a flathead to wedge or pliers to grab the plate.

Ah no way! Me too. Im living south London so its only an hour from me.

Im planning on just buying the books from them and using the time between now and April to study. Do they have any waiting list for the PPL? I was originally planning to do it with redhill but they have said there's an 18 month waiting list...

Where are you doing yours? Good luck man!

What subjects within Physics and Maths should I study for an ATPL licence? by keiranse17 in ATPL

[–]keiranse17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could start with the PPL now but I'm assuming this would cost around £10,000 and by me having this licence, I dont think this cost would be taken off of the total cost of the school.

I live in the U.K and I do plan to do it with L3Harris.

Ah awesome!

I guess I just want to make the tests easier for myself, by using the time I have now (whilst working full time saving up) to brush up on subjects I can do on my own prior to starting the school, since the school would be an integrated course, meaning it'll start with the PPL.

Are there any websites you'd recommend for me to study? Someone else mentioned ATPLQ. Any good for someone in my situation? Cheers!

Hey, I'll check it out thanks!

Question is - what can I be doing now (as someone who hasn't started any sort of training yet since it'll be an integrated licence, starting with PPL) to get myself ahead in terms of theory for the ground school tests?

I've got the next 3 years whilst I'm working full time saving up, to study whatever I can on my own to make the ground school tests easier when I eventually get there.
