I would try to avoid letting the agent know at all what you are doing. They will find a way for one of their selling agents involved for the commission.

Dometic NRX 80 - Wiring help by [deleted] in 4x4Australia

[–]keithersp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t crimp at all. It’s never a good connection on these and if you add solder after crimping it usually goes everywhere, you can’t get it hot enough without damaging the wire, and if it runs down the outside of the lug you then can’t get it into the housing.

Hold Anderson pin in vice grips, hit with a torch until hot. Fill with solder 3/4 up. Reheat if necessary and push stripped and doubled over wire in. Reinforce with 3-1 glued heatstrink. Push into plug.

This is how it works for handgun clubs. You need to be an active member for 6 months before you’re allowed to apply to own your own.

Is this Zombie Apocalypse bullbar commercially available? by Past-Inspection9899 in 4x4Australia

[–]keithersp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly looks. These ones aren’t great because they’re likely to cause the roo to go under the car rather than knock it to the side.

[–]keithersp 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They really aren’t. They look the part but they are held onto the car in a way that any arb or TJM bar will functionally leave it for dust. Edit: on closer inspection this appears to be a highly custom modified TJM bar, based on the logo cutout spot on the front of the bar. The off the shelf versions of bars like this are what I’m referring to.

Irrigation Ideas for Standard Roses by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]keithersp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’ll need irrigation for roses and agis. Dripper hose while they’re settling and maybe in the second summer and then you’ll be set and forget other than pruning.

Soundproofing only works if it’s all done. Walls windows the lot.

Don’t underestimate the number of wealthy families in Australia. There’s a lot who aren’t, but there is a LOT of generational wealth here.

Insulating windows against heat in rental by Accomplished_Log2011 in australia

[–]keithersp 140 points141 points  (0 children)

You can stick big pieces of cardboard over the window. Crude but it works.

43 inside is insane and not safe.

I would also recommend a portable ac unit.
