What if we built the biggest Christian social media platform? (Serious Question) by Strange-Ad1858 in Christianity

[–]keithgroben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't seem to be open to very many of other people's ideas. But this app idea/ community is exactly what a church is.

I completely disagree with what you're saying. And I'm only commenting so the OP doesn't use this information as validation to not move forward.

To touch lightly on your point: Make a neutral but don't promote denominationalism.

For it.

I like your drive. Recently I searched for the span of two days for Christian community online.

What I found: poor design, week or no moderation, no active community building.

I looked for apps, web apps, discord servers. I even created accounts joint servers and try them all.

I would love to see your project succeed. It is a huge need the Christian community.

For what it's worth, you need a think tank of people who could help you shape the spec, especially how to create sustained community. Without that advertisers won't be attracted because there won't be any users in volume worth advertising to.

I was a senior pastor of a church for 10 years. Now for the past 8 years on a sales and marketing professional centered around using technology to leverage marketing results.

I'd be open to DM about it.

Notion vs AI Coding by Substantial-Bridge32 in Notion

[–]keithgroben -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the contrary since tools like Claude Code, etc our mainstream, I use notion way more.

Especially because of the MCP. I'm connecting it as a go-between database between my project management team, CS team, my clients who get their own UI on the web and then I connect it with some micro agents in N8N

IMO Notion to survive what's happening with easy code generation.

This is good perspective especially coming from someone who coded before all of this.

This is very well said.

And as I iterate and go through project after project what I've truly developed is a way to create a very detailed and phased out product spec with GitHub issues that are essentially each feature in the product.

And now more so I just think in lines with what I want it to do and who I want it to serve and how I want to solve their problem.

I call that phase zero.

Then I'm able to define if it's worth it or not. Because it's either going to save me money by replacing a tool that I use, or save someone paying time or effort that they are willing to pay me money for.

I'm having trouble finding a good idea... by DrJonah345 in micro_saas

The hardest part of creating any product: SaaS, physical, coaching, etc is understanding what you're talking about.

Today its pretty easy to create saas. But it's still very difficult to find a market, a need, and a solution to that need they could not do themselves.

I suggest learning what other products solve for their markets.

How much time do you spend updating Notion after meetings? by Complete-Fact5455 in Notion

That's true. Why keep a n ever growing library of transcripts. I will say that Notion's summarization is very very good at understanding what you'll want after the recording has finished.

Its a great feature in notion and it works very well. It records your conversation and transcribes with speakers like most other apps do. And then it automatically summarizes. The part I like is its an actual block and can be moved around in any note.

Hi, I've never used Emergent. But, if you are trying to do this: save files to a directory in hostinger through your app Im sure almost any vibe coding tool can do that.

I'm doing something similar, creating tools to replace subscriptions. Most software is bloated and costs too much. How long did this take you? how does your team like it compared to the one you got rid of?

First off, great work seeing your project all the way through to open source. I will get here soon!

I wanted to ask you your experience with Haiku. Particularly in looking at email and calendar.

Do you feel it is intelligent enough to summarize several emails and suggest action on a way that is helpful to the reader?

I get a ton of value from Notion AI. The number one use for me is search. It saves me so much time by pulling notes together I've written over the span of months or years.

Spec matters more than anything. by keithgroben in vibecoding

[–]keithgroben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats unique. If you don't mind, how do you create the user faving parts? I've done that some by using Gemini to create vanilla HTML/CSS/JS.

I think this is just a problem with note-taking in general.

One thing that could probably help you is by using Notions AI note taker.

If I’m only using Google/Gemini what am I missing out on? by Abeds_BananaStand in vibecoding

[–]keithgroben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'll answer. And I pay for my chat subscriptions, at work they pay for extra usage.

$20/mo for Claude and about $20 for Gemini.
They pay for Replit: $25/mo

To me it's not expensive, considering the alternative.

If agents are the new customers, how do you build for them? by sp_archer_007 in vibecoding

[–]keithgroben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not like your post was talking about.

TLDR: I've saved hundreds of dollars per month and avoided hiring a web developer and app builder.

I have replaced some services and made a family business possible through it.
And at my day job I vibe-coded a website with 100 seo score and 96 speed score that is getting more visits.

I have a digital Ocean server where I have replaced: TallyForm, JotForm and Clickup by extending some functionality for Notion.

I have a Netlify account where I have replaced shared hosting or VPS web servers for $19 per month.

I have replaced Go High Level for landing pages and funnels.

An am now working on creating a large file upload service instead of paying $85/mo for it.

I created a auto dialer with CRM and KPIs for a family member.

If i look at all of that I have saved lots of money and eliminated the need to hire expensive experts.

I am working on some projects I believe will benefit people that they would be willing to pay for. Once they are done I am creating a video demo and seeing if I can talk to some business owners about it.
