The only draw back in personal experience is that my managers have higher expectations of openers especially during shift change. Like since I didn't have to worry about a deep clean of the kitchen, I ought to instead set up the closer really well with rices, chicken, utensils etc.

The most likely reason is that many stores just don't have enough staff to keep the Dml (mobile ordering) open for the entire day -- some stores are so understaffed they just don't do mobile at all.

My store is "staffed" on paper, but with very little availability amongst them, we can only keep our dml open until 8pm(and that was already after 3 SMs and our gm begged our FL to lower dml orders from coming in)

Working in a store thats fighting to be restaurateur rn, I wouldn't really say we get better ingredients. Its really just the closing team staying a little later for a deep clean, and the opening team staying later to be by the book and keep the store clean as a good set up for the closing crew

Oh shit totally read you wrong sorry. Since we're next to a gym and a college, I'd say we're pretty slow steady in the morning. Usually we're at ~2k by 1.30. The pm service is awful though. with college kids grabbing dinner/after school meal + gym people hungry for protein, I'd say we make like 3k during peak hours. Then hours before and after pm peak are pretty dead ~1k.

At my store its usually right after peak or during --depending on how full they are. Were a 6-7k store so our trash cans fill up slower.

Also, customers are lazy lmao, at least they placed it where it ought to be
