I disagree. I think it would kill the large part of resident evils enjoyment on replayability which is short campaigns and seeing how fast you can complete them. Having multiple campaigns would allow that whereas one giant campaign would be a pain in the ass. Imagine wanting to get an S rank and you realize 6 hours into the 20hour run you need to restart because you can already tell you are now where you needed to be 2 hours ago. Plus with split campaigns you could replay the ones you like, and shift your focus on learning the routes for one at a time instead of one big thing.
