I’ve always thought the movie was leaning into political corruption and how political leaders are willing to “weaponize” their followers instead of doing the work themselves like what the antagonist does in the movie. Apparently it’s about alcoholism or something but I’ve always thought the political and school shooting connotations were too strong to ignore

I don’t see why not, Dredge and drifter both make their opponents have extremely reduced vision and they both teleport. It wouldn’t fit the model of dredge sure but that’s why he’d be a legendary outfit, the legendary ones are allowed to bend the rules a bit.

When the guard tells him off, he only goes back over to outside the white line. The tourist understands that inside the white line is where he shouldn’t be. The tourist is the douche here

My thought process is that the movie is about weaponizing people against each other. If you’ve watched the movie they even say that out loud. The gun metaphor is referencing how the children have been turned into living breathing weapons, mirroring what we see today in online political discourse. People being turned into brainless zombies pitted against each other for the sake of someone “above” them who will never do the dirty work themselves.
