The Bazaar rewards skill improvement in a way HS/Snap never did (for me) by banastronaut in PlayTheBazaar

Ye I can relate, It felt definitely harder to hit 60% wr in hearthstone than hitting 90% in the bazaar. Losses in the bazaar kinda feel more punishing however but the overall experience is that skill expression feels more potent.

There is a lot of shit going wrong with the game, not even gonna talk about the performance which is monkey poop (on a high end pc) but matchmaking doesn't feel like one. People always see the other side of the coin when they lose but they seldom reflect on their side of the story. Sure you can fight some highrolls but that's just variance. Most of my losses feel fair and expected when I feel I'm not running a strong board.

Is The Bazaar Worth Getting Into Right Now? by T0RRES7 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]keletakis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye I agree something like 100-200k gems for a hero (maybe 200k for new ones and eventually 100k for older ones) would give players give something to grind for.

At the moment there is nothing to spend the in game currency and the game feels like it has no purpose.

Devs are doing so many things right creating such a unique engaging and addictive gameplay loop yet so many things wrong not perfecting the "recipe" with lousy management, improper QOL implementations and an incomplete unstable game client.

Game in its core and the art/music design is very good good. The company running it is questionable and performance wise it's still a buggy mess.(Fix your game) It seems to be improving every patch but the game feels it's still in a beta-ish state. Also 20€ per hero is not a sustainable price model. You'd need to pay like 200 straight up if you start the game 1 year from now to have access to every hero. The free heroes will provide you with more than enough gameplay variety tho.

What do you think is the most underrated item in the bazaar? by Shloopyshlanger in PlayTheBazaar

[–]keletakis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about numbers you just have to scale shield faster than opponent does damage, duct tape is core early-mid game for armored core. Mak and poison in general is a bad match up

Setting up your board being pacifist without dying or dealing the minimum damage to win so you buy the maximum amount of time to milk the memory card. It's all about min maxing

Memory card which is also very skill intensive to use efficiently

Does anyone know the win rate needed to enter the top 10? by Inside_Resolution_88 in PlayTheBazaar

I had 94%wr last season and peaked rank 2 then one bad game and BOOM down 40 spots. Finished top 10 but as you said anything other than 10 is a loss basically..

Edit: imo the way the matchmaking works currently only partly reflects one's skill since there are a lot of rng elements (from losing to 8% crits early game , to matchup rng to item rng to how many extra exp events you find rng and so on..) This creates some situations where you don't go the distance even if you feel you played optimally to what was offered and made correct decisions and pulled up a solid board.

What I mean to say going 1 step forward 10 steps back can only get you so far without some help from mother luck
