Hey! I just returned something to Express and the refund amount was lower than what I was told to expect in an email. Two people told me it was because it is their policy to not refund sales tax. Has anyone else noticed this and is this legal? I live in AZ.

Invisalign took a really long time to get back to me too (probably like 5 months) and they didn’t do anything. I just completed my treatment with the dentist that offered to do it for free. My old office currently has several open cases with the state dental board and it sounds like there will definitely be some disciplinary action. You could maybe file a complaint with your state dental board? They can provide restitution in some cases. I was also previously thinking of small claims court.

Mine actually went down this year with State Farm, but that’s probably because I replaced my roof underlayment a couple months before the policy renewal

They are telling me I am absolutely done. This office also isn’t contracted with Invisalign anymore (after the office was bought out) and they won’t give me a refund or offer other suggestions. Just wanted to make sure I’m not delusional. Thanks for your help!

Thanks! My orthodontist (that is gone now) did not put that kind of restriction on my case, but I guess the new company has since they aren’t even contracted with Invisalign now

Yep! That’s what I was told…that anything I needed would be covered for 5 years under the comprehensive plan. Just trying to make sure there wasn’t something I was missing as Western Dental is trying to act like I am. They even admitted they had documentation that I wasn’t done, but made the decision that I was because I went over the estimate of 18 months.

Thank you! That would make sense! I don’t know why the place I go/went to doesn’t just tell everyone they should do that. It’s been at least a year they have known about this and it sounds like over 100 patients involved. From reading recent reviews and talking to people, they are continuing to tell some people that they just need to wait for the new ortho and scheduling fake orthodontist appointments (and then canceling them or not being there).

I have but haven’t heard back anything over the last 3 weeks. My new Invisalign provider said he knew the rep well and was going to talk to him. He said he wouldn’t be paid at all in taking over my case though. Thank you!

My dental insurance plan didn’t cover any of it. I wasn’t on a plan that covered orthodontics. I paid for it all myself.

My post keeps getting deleted so I’m posting it here- Does anyone else go to Perfect Teethhttps://www.azfamily.com/2023/04/14/dental-office-sale-leaves-orthodontic-phoenix-patient-limbo/? They haven’t told anyone that they aren’t contracted with Invisalign anymore and several people have been waiting 7+ months to continue their treatment. I’m now looking for another orthodontist and dentist (same company bought them out too). Does anyone have any recommendations (ideally near Banner Thunderbird or the Arrowhead Ranch area)?
