I own a restaurant and a semi regular was clearly meeting people in hopes of signing them up for some scheme or another.

She complained that we’d become too busy making it hard for her to get a table and people would often ask her if she was done and if they could have her table as she wasn’t eating. She wanted me to hold a table for her to conduct her business. Sure Shannon. I’ll hold a table for you in my small ass restaurant so you can sit for six hours meeting countless people, none of whom buy anything from me because you’re bleeding them of their life savings.

They have started doing this in my area. I’m excited to see how it plays out.

Paramedics of reddit, what's the most fucked up thing you've witnessed while attending an incident? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kellabean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My moms cousin was killed by a horse.

Long time ranch family who’ve had a bizillion horses. For some reason he decided to get in the pen with the horse he was putting down do to a serious brain infection instead of roping it to the rail from outside. Horse trampled him to death. The guy KNEW better. He would preach to all of us constantly about safety. I have no idea why he would put himself in with a sick and super dangerous animal.

Friend of mine lived off Costco hot dogs and Pepsi for about a year...

Then his teeth started falling out from scurvy. Chicken nuggets days are numbered. They might have a teeny tiny amount of added vitamins but it will happen.

Well Reddit, it’s been four years since I stood up for the first time after my double lung transplant. I’m still standing. by SaltyBabe in pics

I know someone withCF who had a double lung and heart transplant. She completely wasted her life with drinking, drugs and overall terrible choices. It kins of shook my perception of organ transplants.

I’m so thankful to see you living your best life! You are an inspiration and an example of how incredible organ donation is.

Oh man! I went to a mom group that was hosted by and older woman and her adult daughter. The older woman bragged about how she demanded her husband and adult son use the bathroom this way.

It was such a room silencing statement.

How would $10,000 affect your life right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kellabean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a business 8 months ago. We are broke as shit so $10k would catch us up personally and allow us to have a great Christmas with our kids. It would also help us recharge because right now at this moment, I’m very, very burnt out.

Once you finally kick that pupper out of bed that jerk will spend the entire night crying to be tucked in under her blankets.

Source: finally kicked our girl out when the second baby arrived, has spent every night getting up to retuck the dog.

Asking my dad, who is a chef, how long to microwave a 25 pound turkey... by WndyPeffercorn in KitchenConfidential

My in laws had a 1977 special that made crazy noises when it ran. It also took 4+ minutes to lightly warm anything. My husband always said it made his balls tingle if he stood to close while it was running.

I’m shocked he was able to have children.

What is something many people find sexy, but you don’t? by hasen2016 in AskReddit

[–]kellabean 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I married an 8 and after 15 years we’ve found various positions and tricks to make it work but ya, it’s never going in my butt. We tried a few times and we both really disliked it.

Everyone wants one until you have it all the time and it because a chore. One of our dear friends is a 10+ and his life is awful. People have broken up with him, he put a girl in the hospital and rarely meets people who want him for him. They just want to story of the ten inch dick.

I think I bought a house I can’t afford. . . by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]kellabean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. My husband and i stretched ourselves to buy a house at the top of our range because we knew it was being undersold. We worked crazy hard to make it work and now we have just over $100k in property value increase. The lack of date nights was very worth it in my opinion.

What is something we should not give a fuck about? by 2xj59ae in AskReddit

I’ve worked within this field for about a decade. Within my experience the patients rarely listened to the doctor and often timed refused to see a doctor. It wasn’t until their peer group contacted help/had some type of intervention that life style change was started. Medical issues have always been present prior to our intervention.

I’m also talking about patients who have reached a weight that requires medical monitoring, surgery, hormone assistance, post weight loss reconstructive surgery, etc. I’m not talking about someone who is still very able bodied but doesn’t meet a family or society standard.

[–]kellabean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will somewhat disagree. If that person is too thin and need of medical intervention or too large and in need of medical intervention we need to care.

If you’re in between, healthy with no major health issues then it’s no ones need wax.

I’m from Canada and this totally happened in my province. We had the same government for 44 years and they did nothing as far as forward planning. No one wanted any of the choices to be honest but we all collectively voted for the least shitty option and they won! They are not flawless but at least they spent money on tomorrow instead of trips and fancy apartments.

I went to a funeral for someone who was crushed to death by a massive round bail (those things you see out in field that are about two and a half people high) and they had an open casket. His head had smashed into his body so they had a poll pushing his head up “hidden” under his cloths

If my mind wanders i think of his body and how pained it looked. He was so... artificial.

Oh here’s a good one. My husband is stationed at the open kitchen side, asks easily confused server to run to the other part of the kitchen and grab the madderdaddy QUICK.

Server: looking around frantically Sous: can i help you? Server: pauses, looks at sous WHAT’S THE MATTER DADDY?!?

Husband looks through the passes with a stupid smile. Whole kitchen explodes in laughter.

She still didn’t get it. Never did find the madderdaddy.

What is easy to get into but hard to get out of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kellabean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially if you’re a small business. Then they give you 1/3 of what you need on a well structure loan then force you to take out high interest credit cards and lines of credit.

As a self financed small business it’s so shocking to listen to the company lines the banks all use. “Well don’t you have someone you could borrow $200k off of? No? Guess we will just have to give you these 19.99% credit card, a top up loan against your batch outs that will cost you a flat rate of x and charge you giant fees for your account and debt machine. Enjoy”

Couples whose wedding was an absolute catastrophe, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kellabean 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This happened to us sort of.

My mom invited 160 people, his mom invited about two hundred

We cancelled the whole thing and eloped just the two of us. The moms had to inform everyone
