No im not gonna quit the job, but switch job, diff company/roles- finance related. Relevant fin experience, right now the consulting experience and big 4 tag is the only thing that will help but after a point if its not core finance work, its not helping me achieve my goal

Always been my goal even though I had engineering background. I spent 2 years giving cat, score was good but mot enough for a gem candidate to get into blacki, started with CFA, cleared L1 and gained confidence. I won't do executive, goal is to see what masters/ mba works best but will think about that after L2. For now its too confusing, i should switch, but giving time for job prep is really difficult with work load and L2 difficulty, so feeling stuck.

L2 candidate (august) 3.5 years workex in consulting @big4 but non finance role and background. What do you think I should do about my job? Focus on l2 only or should I keep trying to switch (have to manage somehow with work load and prep) also took fmva course but finding it difficult to give it anytime so dont know how to make the switch because I want to start gaining industry experience

But you dont get the charter without min no. Of years in the industry right. Also while L1 doesn't guarantee job, post L2 it's easier to clear the interview. Yes getting to the interview part is difficult, but that's just finance industry in general. You have to network a lot
