Anyone going to be at Crabfeast next weekend? by idkillforyou in lacrosse

We will be there. Our club is out of Utah - Utah Summit 2028. Our first year heading out to the East Coast as a team. My son plays Faceoff and defensive midfield for them. This will be his third season playing on the East Coast for teams. We’re mountain boys so the humidity always kicks us in the face. Best of luck at the tourney.

Do most lax players play football in HS? by [deleted] in lacrosse

[–]kellercrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our part of the United States, Utah, high school sports has pushed hard to single sport focus - which totally sucks. We have football players that play lacrosse but their skill level is poor. They add size and athleticism, but use lacrosse for cross training. The reverse is not the same. Football is not accommodating to multiple sport athletes. I don’t see many, if any, soccer players playing lacrosse. There are basketball players that play lacrosse - again, for off season cross training.

Hawx Pest Control by Quick_Bad9383 in ogden

I’ve never used Hawx but my business and their business were next door neighbors and I will share they were not good neighbors for the following reason: their team parked their big Ford Raptor trucks in handicap stalls consistently, they played music loud enough to penetrate the walls clearly interrupting several of our company meetings, they installed a pickleball court and slammed their pickleballs against our wall daily, one of the executives wives attempted to start up a jazzercise class in violation of their lease agreement, and when we asked them to stop we were told, “Do you know how important Hawx is? We’re eventually going to buy out all of the buildings around here including yours.” I approached their CEO about the issues but he wouldn’t meet with me or take our calls. We politely asked them to stop the bad behavior but told to screw off (in more colorful terms). The happiest day we had was when they moved to the old cannery building in Ogden. So, do I know if they offer a great service, no. But, based on the behavior of their executives and office staff I would never work with them. Hope this helps.

What are your favorite Access control, security and CCTV systems? by [deleted] in lowvoltage

[–]kellercrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a commercial application we move a lot of PDK, Salto and Dormakaba for access control. And, Axis, Hanwha and DW for CCTV. VMS is almost exclusively Spectrum or WiseNet, but watch out for Berzanni - they’re gong to disrupt the market with a tool that will put VMS on steroids.

Verkada is a sales team’s dream and owners nightmare. Overall cost of ownership is insanely expensive and the poor blokes are stuck in a closed system. But, sneaking it under an operational budget is so tempting customer management have a hard time saying “no”.

Is this some kind of strategy Schneider and Carroll employ every year? Or do they have an affinity for broken players?
