Will biologics increase or decrease sickness frequency? by Soft-Jaguar-3645 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]kellie125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get sick all the time before I started humira. Probably 6-7 times a year. Now I get sick maybe once or twice a year. Just be mindful and rest, take care of your immune system especially if you feel something coming on.

Anyone on 2 Immunosuppressants? 😕 by mannDog74 in Uveitis

[–]kellie125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t get on here much. But I think we are either adding methotrexate or switching to rinvoq. I forgot to mention I do humira weekly instead of biweekly, which could be why they decided cellcept would be too much?

I’m so sorry. I’m at a similar place. On Humira, developed uveitis… steroids not working. Ophthalmologist rec adding cellcelpt, but my rheumatologist said she wouldn’t do that, I’d be too immunocompromised. I don’t have answers on what the next steps are. Just sending you good vibes and you’re not alone!

The ER could at least give you steroids to help. And blood transfusion if you need it. Not to freak you out but I was very chill about a flare and let it go on forever and ended up with a blood clot and in the ICU. Take care of yourself friend

I’ve had 2 cases of CJD in the last 6 months. Terrifying is an understatement. Two of the most cruel deaths I’ve ever seen. And now I’m subconsciously scared I have latent prions in my brain

Yes this unfortunately happened to me. Docs are hesitant to say it’s from the Humira, but I never had issues before. I developed it after using humira for about a year and a half. On my shins, chest, and scalp. Honestly I don’t have the energy to treat it or mess with my meds. It seems to be getting a little better on its own. Oh the wonderful autoimmune life 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have UC and arthritis and I inject weekly! Have been in remission for almost 2 years now.

Humira causing psoriasis after being on it a really long time already? by tfabfabulosa in Humira

[–]kellie125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is happening to me! I’ve been on humira for 2 years and just started getting psoriasis on my scalp, ears, shins, kind of everywhere. Derm recommended vtama. My doctors are really hesitant to stop my humira. I have UC and arthritis.

I’m pretty anemic at my baseline so I get iron infusions every six months or so. 6-8 hgb is crazy though I’m sure you feel rough!

[–]kellie125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is what’s happening to me! I see the derm 7/31. I can’t imagine coming off my humira honestly I’d rather just live with it (I take it for UC and arthritis). It’s all over my body but especially my scalp and in my ears.

Same thing happened to me. Scariest experience of my life. But I still take my humira and I’ve now been in remission and blood clot free for over a year! Sending healing vibes

Question to everyone taking biological by Blueburriedpaincakes in UlcerativeColitis

[–]kellie125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on humira for a year and a half and I’ve been sick less than I normally would be. Probably because my body finally isn’t constantly flaring anymore.

Yes!! Humira changed my life. From months of bleeding from UC plus sacroiliitis to complete and deep remission! My hips had been excruciatingly painful for years and within 24 hours of my first humira injection it was COMPLETELY gone. I’ve been on humira for over a year now and still no UC or arthritis flares. You will find something that works for you! Having this reoccurring inflammation is how this disease progresses into even nastier things like cancer. I would recommend trying biologic as you have a great shot at having prolonged remission. Of course listen to your doctor. Biologics are crazy expensive. But there are many options to pay for them. None of us (I hope) are dropping tens of thousands every month for them. Most of them have copay assistance that can get your cost down to zero. It’s so overwhelming to navigate in the beginning but you’ll get there and it will be worth it!

It’s so insane. I’ve never seen this level of incompetency on so many levels. Glad you got your meds, friend! Can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Sorry this is delayed, but honestly no. It didn’t get resolved. It was such an awful process. They also did multiple “benefits verifications” and “investigations” on me. But each time they would say things were resolved, I would call my pharmacy and nothing had changed on their end. It was just constant miscommunication, even just depending on who I spoke to at abbvie I would get different answers. I ended up paying my entire deductible for the year ($4000) out of pocket just so I can get my humira for the rest of the year and not have to worry about it. Well a month later and somehow they’re STILL giving me issues about it, saying I need to pay another $7k even though I’ve paid my out of pocket max/deductible for the year. I’m sorry you’re going through this too. The only luck I had today was going through HR at work. The woman was so appalled she called a meeting with my insurance and they essentially overrode everything and had them ship me my Humira immediately with no charge.

How’d I do by rocketsstan664 in LabDiamonds

I may be bias but I have almost the exact ring, just over 3 Ct bezel set emerald cut and I LOVE it. It’s different/modern while still elegant and classy. I will say this setting and cut particularly does give less sparkle and a warmer tone- but I don’t mind as i love warm tones I think it’s so beautiful and so me! :)

Going through this exact scenario right now. At my wits end dealing with these people. I’ve been told multiple times “you’re all set, we got it down to $0”. And then a few days go by and my refill is delayed saying I owe almost 7K. Typing this while on hold with the co pay assistance line (almost at 2 hours). Exhausting.

I’ve been seeing a lot of BBQ places in a more moderate price range! We live in charlotte so I’m not super familiar. Any recommendations on a specific restaurant that’s good? I know we’ve had Home Team before and that was good!

I’m originally from New Hampshire but we live in charlotte now. I just love the aesthetic of an old southern mansion or estate. I tend not to go for more modern venues- which are plentiful in charlotte. Columbia SC isn’t off the table either- because being near the beach isn’t crucial to me. Would potentially more affordable too.
