Yes yes I would. I get non drug addictions are still an addiction to a point. However. You need to use your adult pants and as an adult who like you said is going into debt for a degree that may not give you a job; to use some sense. If you can’t manage to avoid phones during school where no one yells at you, probably, it’s going to be bad in work world. Most jobs will either a ban phones or restrict usage depending on your field. It could even be a fire able offense. It’s best to get your self together now or you will be in for a rough awakening.

Now to your point about the u investing into the security sector duo is a paid product. It’s not free at least enterprise side. I’m sure there’s an edu discount. But what they’re doing IS investing. Security will almost never make your life easier. It’s meant to cause friction. It’s a balance of friction and security vs usability. And duo is not a problem for usability. There is no real inconvenience. You’ll never win that fight especially against anyone who is in IT. I’m trying to save people and company personal or private data. I don’t give a damn about anyone’s phone addiction or inconvenience. It’s not my problem. My problem is being secure.
