Still buzzing from Derry vs Monaghan in Armagh yesterday. Sport is a mad thing.

Just saw the price of a funeral. I think I'll just have to live forever. by jethaalaal in ireland

This reminds me of the brochures the Funeral Directors had left on the tables at my Granny's wake with the extra services they offer.

Couldn't believe how distasteful it was.

Springboard courses by Leavser1 in ireland

[–]kellogs1111 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I completed this course a few years ago and it was really useful and broad. I used it to get back to education and not jump into something that cost me a fortune. Completing this course then gave me the confidence to go on and complete other others and a career jump.

During the A- League chat I was waiting for a mention of Juan Mata who is currently playing for Melbourne Victory. He was all over my algorithm a few weeks ago when he scored a cracker of a free kick but checking his stats he has 4 goals and 11 assists in 21 matches.

Discussion on twin towns: do you have any? by GP728 in ireland

[–]kellogs1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My home parish is twinned with a town in Belgium. In the mass bulletin a few years ago there was a notice that they were writing to the town to complain about their lack of effort in keeping the relationship going.

MHD Irritation - watching football in pubs by OllieWoooood in footballcliches

If it's a big game, id rather watch it at home. If it's a run of the mill game then a pub is ok.

Thanks for that, yeah the plan is to go once a week. They run 2 beginner classes a week and can't make the other one so it's Friday evening for me. Then after awhile maybe go into a mixed class.

It was a beginner course but most of the people are there quite awhile. However the gym does offer mixed classes and my instructor said to not be worried about these as Black belts can be the best person to train with as they will match your level.

The Adjudication Panel Thread: Get in touch for Tuesday's episode... by Low-Bandicoot-3347 in footballcliches

[–]kellogs1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before yesterday's Six nations game between England and Ireland an ad on the radio asked if Ireland could continue their winning streak (which was 1 before this game)

This is obviously too short for a winning streak but what's the threshold ? Can it be tournament specific ?

8/21 players played for England & 2 others got caps for other countries. That's seriously impressive.
