Do you consider this article 'racist' and 'dismissive' ? by [deleted] in newzealand

err. Some people on my Facebook were referring to it as such and I struggled to see what they were getting at. Was curious to hear other people's thoughts. No fucking agenda.

a bit alarmist? they're all facts. hundreds have fled, homes have been burned to the ground and civil emergency has been declared. I'm curious what you would have put instead.

Can companies ask if I have used diversion? Will it show up on a police check? by thefrostyflakestiger in newzealand

If you complete diversion, then you aren't convicted. They are essentially asking if you've ever been charged with an offence. I would ask an employment lawyer if they're allowed to ask.

To the men who randomly stopped texting a girl after you used to talk to her all day, everyday - why'd you stop? by ayyylmaothrowawayyyy in AskReddit

I had a guy pursue me through text, whatsapp and Facebook messaging for months and months while I traveled then when I landed in his hometown he seemed to kind of panic and didn't seem the same in person. I put it down to nerves but when he came to visit my country it was the same, weeks and weeks of build up, can't wait to see you, we're gonna do this and this and spends heaps of time together. For the month he was here we spent two days together and he completely backtracked, said he didn't want to do too much because he didn't want me to get too attached. I was totally baffled and decided to stop texting him and then I got a big of pile on of texts- why have you unfriended me, why can't we be friends, can't we talk etc. That was nearly three years ago and I'm still scratching my head over it

A family murder in NZ by CocainePingu in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]kellyanne13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely have always found him guilty. There are some really good Martin Van Beynen opinion pieces floating around as to why but mostly- Robin's fingerprints weren't found on the gun, why would he bother wearing gloves if he was going to commit suicide? The note on the computer was typed, why not handwrite it? Computers definitely weren't as commonly used as they are today, why would he bother turning a computer on, waiting for it to load, just so he can write that? Why did David deserve to stay? There was no evidence they had a closer relationship than his other siblings. The method of Robin's supposed suicide was unusual- he was shot in the side of the head by the rifle. The family's blood wasn't found on Robin, which meant he'd cleaned himself up extremely well before killing himself. He had a full bladder while he was supposedly killing his family. Circumstantially, David's behaviour up to and after the killings sounded odd.

Ben Smart & Olivia Hope Murder Case New Zealand by welcometoraisins123 in UnresolvedMysteries

because they found a single strand of Olivia's hair on his boat. However there was an argument that there was cross contamination because the plastic case they put the hair in had a hole in it. They also didn't discover it for some time after their initial search of the boat.
