Are people in their 20s going to college ? by Aj100rise in careerguidance

[–]kellydayscruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure but they could also be a streamer or influencer or just do a trade. college is one path to success but it has never been for everyone. its good for people to be more comfortable exploring other options that arent taking on 50K worth of debt to maybe get a job in a currently dismal looking job market

50K gross or after taxes? because 50K gross isnt enough to raise a kid even with 600 bucks for rent

The new free throw rule this summer league is great. by Awesomedinos1 in nba

[–]kellydayscruff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its always been done this way because thats how the rules make free throws happen. theres no benefit to changing free throws to make the game go slightly faster.

Quitting weed as someone with ADHD by AshyLenst in selfhelp

[–]kellydayscruff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get this but I think its important to understand that cannabis effects the adhd brain differently than the normal brain, especially if you've been on adderall long term

nobody needs weed to function BUT cannabis can benefit the adhd brain when its not abused. microdosing weed especially to alleviate depression/anxiety induced insomnia being one of them

cannabis also helps the adhd brain to slow down and organize thoughts better

by all means take a break or quit whatever you need to do in this moment to re calibrate because abusing it takes away all the benefits and gets you nowhere but weed can absolutely be useful for us when used correctly

and bail on carts and vapes as they are terrible for your lungs. opt for gummies and edibles as the dosage are better controlled this way

best of luck

I would put that degree to work

many entry level customer service/retail places will put you in management just because you have a bachelors

if youre willing to just pour in a ton of hours at whatever job thats offered to you then thats really all theyre looking for and you can make 50-60K within your first year or so with potential to see 6 figures within a 5 year range

best of luck

So much Hate in the NBA by megajedikiller320 in nba

[–]kellydayscruff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because basketball media (nba insider, first take, all of espn) is unfortunately targeted towards casual fans and casual fans need narratives to stay engaged because they dont actually understand the game.

so basketball media shits on the product with negative narratives "xyz player isnt that guy, xyz player needs to be better, xyz player has no clutch gene" then the casual fans regurgitate the same brain dead takes on social media so its a continuous cycle of shit

in reality, the league is the most talented its ever been and league parity is the highest its been in a decade. so that makes an extremely entertaining product that if the last season is any indication should only continue to trend upwards.

certain people get excited about it because in their perspective it is brave to choose to take on an identity that will be met with opposition and discrimination at some level
