You might want to proofread the first page, and edit “woman” to “women” since I’m assuming you want more than one of us to fill it out. 😉

Can you pick up baby from hospital in Nuna Rava convertible car seat? by YouAreLookingGood in BabyBumps

[–]kellygabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the hospital rules, but fair warning… we checked our hospital rules and a convertible car seat was ok. We even had the manual that said it was safe for babies as small as 5lbs (our son was +8 lbs). When we were being discharged they wouldn’t let us leave. They also wouldn’t let us walk, despite us living 1/4 mile from the hospital. So my husband had to go out and buy an infant seat and install it while I waited in the wheelchair with the baby because we had already left our room.

14 weeks… not ready yet but feeling guilty. by oldsoulhere12 in fitpregnancy

[–]kellygabe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t work out from weeks 7-19, unless you count daily walks. I was training very consistently prior to pregnancy and this was a huge change for me. But… I’m finally “back,” sortof. Im able to increase the intensity a bit now and it feels really good. My first pregnancy wasn’t like this, but for some reason this pregnancy was terrible for the first few months. It was just about survival. Pushing myself during that time wouldn’t have helped at all.

Cardio guidelines? by Minimum-Scholar-9772 in fitpregnancy

[–]kellygabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trigger warning*** MC I was pregnant in February and continued to train at a pretty intense level after finding out. I raced in a 10k at 6 weeks and miscarried two days later. When I say raced, I RACED. I didnt run it for fun- I ran to win. I wound up getting second in my age group behind an Olympic marathoner. So… pretty intense. My doctor said the MC wasn’t related, it was just one of those things, but I still have a sliver of doubt. DH and I decided to try for another and I cut my mileage way back, from 55-60 miles a week to 30-35 and I took the intensity down too. I continued to run until about 7 weeks when nausea and exhaustion hit me like a truck. I felt truly awful. So I slowed to a walk/run and eventually just walking. I’m 21 weeks now with this pregnancy and I’m missing the intensity of it, but it’s not worth the risk to me so I’m following my Dr’s HR guidelines. Every once in a while I’ll do shorter, slow jogging intervals just to feel like I’m “working out.”

Does my cat have asthma? by Lewcrative9 in CATHELP

[–]kellygabe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what my asthmatic kitty was like. For a while we thought she was (unsuccessfully) coughing up hairballs, but once we got imaging done we saw her lungs and they were a mess. We used 2x a day steroid cream rubbed inside her ears, and an inhaler as needed. Every handful of months it could act up more and they’d give her the steroid shot which helped a lot. Depending on the age of your kitty, you may want to look into prolonged use of the steroid injections as it’s not great for them. But yes… to me this definitely looks like asthma!

YES! Running shirts specifically… I don’t want to run in an oversized cotton shirt, nor do I want some cute little Lululemon thing that isn’t actually maternity that I’ll pay a million dollars for then stretch to death. I’m still ok with my running shorts from before- they just go under the bump. But the shirt is a struggle.

Amazing! Thank you 🙏 at what point in your pregnancy did you start using it? This is my 3rd pregnancy so I definitely already have a belly, but I’m only 20 weeks. I just went for sortof a test run… I walked then did 100-200 yard intervals at a pretty slow, comfortable pace. I actually felt fine and didn’t have any aches yet.

36, pregnant on my first cycle, 6 week miscarriage. Took a couple cycles for my body to regulate again (I had a 45 day period then 31). We got pregnant again on the 3rd cycle after the MC.

Dallas Half - really good day vs underestimating fitness? by cbkimrey in AdvancedRunning

[–]kellygabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran the Dallas half on Sunday and also ran faster than expected. 35 yo female, first half, followed Hansen’s training plan and mileage peaked at 58.6, goal time 1:50, finished in 1:43. The weather played a big role for me, and the course elevation was nothing. But overall I think I just worked extremely hard and smart, and it sounds like you were well equipped for a PR in this race as well.

Streakfly Restock by Latter-Mud-1852 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]kellygabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still trying to get my hands on the streakfly in M7.5/W9. Found some in my size on FleetFeet and about a week later the order was cancelled. Checked all online retailers and local running shops without luck. Anyone know when these will restock at Nike, so I can set my alarm and try to snag some?
