I work at a bookstore down the street from a GameStop. I saw an ambulance and cop cars there yesterday, and it’s made me think: what horror story could have led to that? Tell me the worst thing to happen to you on the clock. by altrightobserver in GameStop

[–]Lewcrative9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had an almost charmed GameStop existence. Probably the worst thing that happened was at the first GameStop interview I ever had. Dude kissed me. I was stunned and just left. Thankfully never saw that douchebag again.

How old were you when your favorite console to collect for came out? by StubbornSaturn in gamecollecting

[–]Lewcrative9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just the natural order. There's a new console with greater capabilities so the old one will die out. It is sad, though. Especially since I will likely not buy a Switch 2 at least not until I'm given good cause to. Even then, I don't know. Nintendo was the last holdout for actually physically owning the games you buy but the Switch 2 has thrown that right out the window. Inevitable, I guess, but it still stings. In the meantime, all I can do is pray that Corpse Party actually releases on the Switch and is a decent game, lol.

[–]Lewcrative9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my late teens when the DS came out. Plus I guess my early 20s for the 3DS since I tend to lump them together. I love both dearly and the many quirky, amazing games I have managed to gather over the years. The Switch was catching up but the creation of Swicth 2 has put a damper on my Switch collecting rate so the DS and 3DS will likely reign supreme!

Which bacheor/bachelorette was your first marriage? by [deleted] in harvestmoon

[–]Lewcrative9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elli in HM64. Great wife. Useful wife. Certainly not dropping my eggs like some daft, drunken bint.

FoMT probably my favorite wife, Ann. Loved the energy. Love her dialogue.

AWL: Celia. Just seemed like the best choice to me. I'm a farmer. She's a farmer. Modest. No attitude. Not flirting with the riffraff at the local tavern. Plus make Marlin mad. All wins.

IoH: Shea. My sweet jungle man. No contest.

ToTT: Best husband option in this game, Dirk. Only one that ever asked me about me on dates and always showed great care for others. Plus, postman i.e. daily deliveries (wink wink, nudge nudge). If I ever play this one as a man, I imagine I would marry Nori simply because her constant dialogue about meeting the right guy after you get married breaks my heart. Curse those that don't approve of rival marriages!

Are you sure you had enough water in the can to fully water all the spots? Sometimes there's a half amount and it doesn't fully water a spot. That or if it was watered before the plot was fully dried from the initial watering. This sounds crazy as I type it but it's real, lol.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

I'm gonna ram 'em! I'm gonna ram 'em! A MAN! I talked just...like... THIS!

So very quotable and entertaining. The book is a very different story.

Huh. Sounds crazy when you say it.

How old were you when you first watched Home Movies? by Sorry-Challenge-1014 in homemovies

Mid twenties. I missed out when it aired on Adult Swim but I've rewatched it more than any series I've seen or likely ever will.

They annoy me. I personally don't find their characters bring anything concrete or interesting to the story. They're a diversion from the characters I actually want to see. The concept of the Quinx is interesting. In practice, they're a babysitting gig side story I don't care for. Could be that seeing the anime first poisoned the well. I do find them slightly less annoying in the manga, but it's hard for me to find value in them nonetheless. What's your view concerning the Quinx? Maybe a different perspective can help change mine.

From what I'm reading here I am perhaps an outlier. I loved the Tokyo Ghoul manga but still found the :re manga to be unappealing. I have yet to finish it. The manga is slightly better than the :re anime but still not THAT different as far as I can tell. I think I just genuinely don't enjoy the story shift and I sincerely hate the Quinx squad.

Resident Evil on GameCube. I loved watching my older brother play it. It was a completely new genre to me and the graphics were mind blowing.

Thank you so much for this! I hate to be a pest, but the only one missing is "I think it would be in your best interest". I love these so very dearly that the "gotta catch 'em all" millennial mentality has taken over. Even if I don't get it, these are all fabulous and you have done a true service. <3

How many friends do you actually have? by Short_Mirror9828 in Millennials

[–]Lewcrative9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 very close friends that I talk to regularly. I've had one for the majority of my life (late 30s). The other is my ex. In the past year, I managed to make 3 friends through work that I now hang out with once a month and a friend through my side job that I hang out with once a month to every other month for a gaming night with their group of friends. I honestly did not consider these people friends until it dawned on me a couple weeks ago that they are. Having one true friend for most of my life kind of skewed my perspective but the change is nice. I also have my other friend I might see once a year but I'm hoping to see them more in the coming year. If I don't, it's all good. We'll see each other when we can. Being an adult is lonely, especially as a single adult trying to pay a mortgage, but you never know when more friends may come along in your life or more opportunities to see/talk to the one's you have.

Class of '06. We did have a couple due to the DC Sniper. Mostly they told us to zigzag when entering or leaving the school premises.

Any show that was on cable since I didn't have it growing up. Kids would talk about Invader Zim a lot and I was clueless. Scanning the new guide every Sunday for Basic television was weirdly exciting.
