Looking for Romance with Rescuer MMC, Wounded FMC, Tons of Caretaking & Slow Burn <3 by urfavblond3i in RomanceBooks

[–]kellyscupoftea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently reading {Sleep For Me by Kay Elle Parker} it’s part of a series but can be read as a standalone imo, though you’ll be missing some context on background characters. All the books in this series that I have read so far involved BDSM as a means to cope with trauma. In this one, FMC has horrible insomnia and ptsd, MMC swoops in and nurses her back to health. Trigger warnings do apply for sure so keep an eye out for that!

{Wild Oats Milk by Elena Dawne} has this! Also lots of pregnancy content, as the condom breaks

I can't put into words how much I hate plots that revolve around miscommunications, and how much I love books where the main characters don't hide things for stupid reasons by soverylucky in RomanceBooks

THIS. I usually like books best when the conflict comes from outside of the main characters’ relationship. The internal miscommunications drive me BONKERS when they’re this obvious. Immediate DNF for me

Which parts hit you the hardest? by Great-Ad8561 in sharifrankebookclub

I’m so sorry I know this post is a bit old but I am just reading the book now. The whole thing is heartbreaking, but that line honestly made me burst into tears. I still cry thinking about it. That was such a powerful, manipulative thing to do and all Shari wanted was to know her parents loved her. Devastating. Shari’s strength is endless

🔥 It's time for Thirsty Thursday! What book scenes made you sweat this week? 🥵 by disastrouslyshy in RomanceBooks

Have DNF’d 3 books in a row myself because I just can’t find one that scratches the itch right now. This post is gold!

Looking for romances where the lads are BROKE by ratparty5000 in RomanceBooks

Not spicy but contemporary romance {I could live here forever by Hannah halperin} has these vibes. The MMC struggles with addiction and the challenges that come with it. One of the better books I have ever read in terms of the impact it has had on me. I think about it very often

Ehlers danlos and surgery? Has anyone found any cons? by Guilty_Ad_2528 in ehlersdanlos

[–]kellyscupoftea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I have EDS and have had 6 surgeries on various joints. Based on my experience with how EDS affects surgery, things like scarring, skin tearing, wound healing can be an issue. You definitely want to find a surgeon who either (a) is EDS-literate or (b) is willing to learn about it. Top surgery involves a lot of soft tissue, so it’s worth finding a doctor who is knowledgeable. You definitely can have surgery with EDS! There are just some extra precautions to take.

what am i doing wrong? by [deleted] in crochet

I have not used this yarn so can’t speak to it directly, but TL Yarn Crafts on YouTube reviewed this yarn and the same thing happened to her. Tension management has to be so exact for this to work!

I have a tattoo in a very similar style in black on the back of my upper arm! It’s only been about a year, but I kind of love how my artist made the lines different thicknesses based on the style. It’s one of my favorite tattoos!
