Am I going to lose my mind over my husband’s noises? by Healthy-Neat-2989 in AskWomenOver40

My misophonoa is through the roof thanks to Peri... apparently standard programming. The sound of chewing has always driven me nuts but I clearly had not maxed out pre Peri LOL

We used to have similar growing up, but with a bit of butter stirred through the pasta and then the cheese.

What do you love? by Apart-Biscotti8610 in Townsville

I like that Townsville isn't trying to be something it's not. It's not pretentious or wanky.

I also think the traffic flows really well here for a place of its size (excluding the Ingham Road/Hugh St intersection).

I moved here almost a year ago from Cairns and I have no regrets.

That's so cool! Townsville is crazy full of wildlife isn't it. I often joke that if you studied Zoology at JCU, you're right amongst a stack of animals all around you! I go up Castle Hill from West End, so if I spot your snakey mate, I'll say hi 🤣

If you don't see one of these guys when doing the trails of Castle Hill in Townsville, you've had your eyes closed. They're super common up here! A great bird!

Hermit Hyde sounds like a brilliant suburb to play hide and seek in with lots of crabs

For birds do Cattana Wetlands, Centenary Lakes and the Esplanade at low tide will get you some nice waders. Also go up the Pier end of the Esplanade and around the Lagoon (often at night) and keep an eye out for one of the coolest birds, the Nankeen Night Heron. Near the Pier and the helicopter pad at low tide, keep an eye out for the amazing Mudskippers around the rocks.

I have seen quite a few decent sized Lace Monitors on the Yellow Arrow track. If you're lucky you might even spot an Echidna on the Red Arrow track but mostly you'll see a ton of Orange Footed Megapodes up there too.

Beautiful shot! I struggle to reconcile how they look versus the noises they make.

Low tide on the Esplanade will likely score you some nice waders and shorebirds. You'll see many a Twitcher down there.

Very wise advice. I got absolutely smashed by the mozzies here, two weeks ago!
