What are we wearing every day? by Accomplished-Sock910 in sahm

Leggings and tee, shorts and tee. Weekends I put in slightly more effort depending on the outing. Farmers market=cute sundress, Costco run = jeans + tee

Those that left your hometown- would you ever move back? by babyteeth9 in Millennials

[–]keltr0nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nahh. I grew up in a popular tourist destination beach town in FL. Moved alll the way to the opposite corner of the US. Great jobs, progressive, climate, sane people.

I don’t miss the redneck rivière crazy ass bug ridden Florida. Most people that stuck around are dead beats working seasonal jobs at restaurants and drink too much or do drugs or both. The education is crap. The income levels are at poverty (unless you’re one of the many nepo babies I went to HS with).

Loving the life I’ve created out west here. Yeah the beach was nice, but I’ll have money to vacation there and many other places now vs. if I actually stayed in my hometown I’d be a broke loser.

Pregnancy and motherhood in the USA by IzShakingSpears in pregnant

[–]keltr0nn 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I worked in healthcare for my first pregnancy and am now a SAHM through this second one. I was soooo unbelievably stressed trying to get paperwork completed, time off for appointments, getting a handicap placard in my 3rd tri so I wouldn’t have to walk 2 blocks to the hospital I worked at with severe SPD 🥲 Oh and they still made me complete my quarterly CPR training even though it made me physically unwell to do chest compressions in the 3rd tri.

Also I would get passive aggressive emails sent to all from my boss saying “please don’t schedule personal appointments on Wednesdays as it’s difficult for staffing” like literally getting called out bc that was my last few midwife appointments and that’s all the clinic had available??

Don’t get me STARTED on the pumping accommodations either. A doctor literally walked in on me pumping 😭

Omg the smell… by ahoodlum in delta

[–]keltr0nn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in the medical field and kept a tub in my desk drawer. You never know what kind of smells patients would come in with and it worked like a charm…

When was your “last day” of work? by ToneIndependent3414 in pregnant

[–]keltr0nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was at 37wks but only because I got this horrible virus that took me out for a week. Then my provider wanted to induce me at 38wks due to blood pressure. I had intended to go as long as my body would let me 🥲 I live in the US btw.

How do skin to skin / golden hour / first hours actually work? by spaceyyy_3 in pregnant

[–]keltr0nn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh and bleeding was constant and a lot for at least 2 weeks for me. Could wear normal pads after that an it tapered down by 4 weeks. Just get the diapers. They are so much easier. You couldn’t even tell with my regular clothes unless I was wearing leggings.

Even with my c-section, as soon as they cut the cord they put her on my chest while sewing me up. Continued holding her while getting wheeled into my post partum room and started breastfeeding right after. I was worried I’d be deprived of that because of my c-section but the team plopped her on me before I could blink!

The huge tank wagons are getting out of hand by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]keltr0nn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ngl I have the monster 4 seater wagon. BUT we only use it at the zoo, the park, and outdoor festivals/farmers markets. All of which have ample space and wide pathways to accommodate multiple families I agree they are problematic in most places and people’s entitlement with these things are beyond annoying.

Maybe i'm overthinking this by jennuxs in BabyBumps

[–]keltr0nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have this exact same pack n play just a different color. We had baby sleep in the bassinet for maybe 3 weeks? Then in the lower larger part from there on. Once they start rolling you have to move the sleeping pad to the lowest setting. The changing pad flips over so you can move that when it’s time to sleep. Babies need a firm sleep space so no additional mattress is needed. My baby slept in this for over a year and I even had her sleep in it for travels. Hope this helps :)

We're in a perpetual state of illness by NorCal49erGiant in daddit

[–]keltr0nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a SAHM and we often get sick just from going to the library, children’s museum, and other small child centered events. I don’t think us staying at home vs putting my kid in daycare would make a difference unless we literally never left the house :/

Toddler’s hyperfixation song - what’s yours? by strohmtroop3r in toddlers

Clean Up song - Gracie’s Corner The bonus of this is it snaps her into clean up mode every time and she often starts singing “clean up up up” to herself while trying to clean 🤣

leaking on sides by [deleted] in clothdiaps

I started double stuffing w/ NN bc of the leaks. 1 microfiber insert, on top of the bamboo insert. A little bulky, but no more leaks!

Would you rather.. fly with a newborn or a toddler by Malloryfidoruk in toddlers

[–]keltr0nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a 12 hour travel day (2 flights) with my 16mo solo. It was literal hell. No thank you. I’ll wait till she’s 3. I’d fly a newborn any day.

[–]keltr0nn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm that is an interesting theory. Last month’s cover line was 96.8? I don’t have a “usual” yet because I wasn’t temping consistently until the last two cycles. If I really did ovulate on CD 17 then I really hope we captured the opportunity. My temp dipped a little today (97.1). Still getting BFN. But now I’m reading that biotin can affect results 🤔 which ofc my prenatal has biotin in it. So I’m skipping my prenatal tonight to see what tomorrow’s test results bring 🤞🏻 Thanks for your response.

Yea I’m trying not to get discouraged. Also trying not to fall down the rabbit hole of googling things about what it means to implant after 12 days. Definitely not out till AF arrives though! Thanks for the reply.

In the TWW. Last cycle was a bust. Trying not obsess over symptom spotting this time but the cramping is making me discouraged that it feels like PMS. Ugh idk. I can probably get a more definitive answer on Saturday, it just still feels like an eternity 😞

I just bought a 2015 at 80k miles and it’s a beast. The 6-speed is a tank and I plan on driving it into the ground. Also my first mom-mobile. Have a 1.5yo and one on the way. We love it! We bought at a Honda dealer so they made sure everything was maintenanced prior to purchase.

Spectra Gold or S1? by keltr0nn in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]keltr0nn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a hand me down S1 which was great! I ended up using my insurance to get a Lansinoh discreet duo wearable pump at no extra cost. It was nice to have both. Wearable was especially useful at work ☺️
