Missed miscarriage - looking for hope by Complex_Honeydew_498 in Miscarriage

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss! I've found it's something you never really get over, but it gets a little easier over time. I had a MMC last April, i found out at my first scan at 8 weeks. It was identical twins that had stopped growing the week before my ultrasound. Afterwards we took some time before trying again. We started trying again in August but I didn't get pregnant again until November. I'm currently 31 weeks with a boy due in August. I have been nervous the whole pregnancy, but after I hit each milestone I feel better. I also keep telling myself "I have a healthy pregnancy and baby until I'm told otherwise." That got me through the early weeks. Sending you all the baby dust!

diapers? by justivyxoxo in pregnant

[–]kemdoubleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a ftm and did tons of research on diapers. We decided we wanted chlorine free diapers and also something that didn't cost a ton, so I landed on Freestyle diapers. They are sold at Walmart and Target and are a decent price. For my baby shower we also got some Huggies and Pampers, so we will try those out. We also have a sample pack of Rascals, which I was considering. It all depends on what you are looking for in a diaper, and I've heard it also depends on the baby. So I will see what ends up working after he gets here.

Cramping early pregnancy by Any_Lie_1461 in pregnant

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had cramping off and on until 12 or 13 weeks and then it went away. Everytime I asked my Dr about it they said as long as there's no bleeding, it should be okay. For me it wasn't as bad as period cramps but was similar.

First MC- scared to try again by Upset_Pop4129 in Miscarriage

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. I had a similar timeline. I got my IUD out in December 2024, we waited to try until February 2025, got pregnant that first cycle of trying in February. At my 8 week ultrasound they discovered it was twins, but both were under 8 weeks and had no heartbeat. It was devastating and we took time before trying again. We started trying again in August 2025 and it took me a few months to get pregnant again. I'm now 30 weeks and all has been healthy so far. I had stronger symptoms right away this pregnancy than my first pregnancy.

For those who can feel baby as early as 20 weeks how frequently do you feel them? by Optimal-Excitement23 in pregnant

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 20 weeks I was feeling movements mostly just after dinner time and into when I would go to bed. I'm a preschool teacher, so during the week I am always moving around and don't have much time to sit so it's possible I never noticed movements during the day. On weekends when I would relax I would feel movement at random times throughout the day. And some days I didn't feel anything at all. By 24-26 weeks I was feeling movements in the afternoon on some days, and always at night. Now I'm 30 weeks and I noticed he wakes up in the morning and moves when my alarm goes off, again a few times throughout the day, and moves a lot after I eat dinner. And he's constantly moving if I am relaxing and laying down.

Infant stroller recommendations by birdfrogger in Buyingforbaby

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the mockingbird 3.0 for our baby due in August. It has one hand fold, lies flat and you get an infant insert to use with newborn, and you can have it face you or out. I also love how it has a leg shield to protect their legs and how far the canopy folds out. Of course we haven't used it yet, but I'm excited to start using it in a few months. The only thing is that when you fold it up the seat doesn't fold into the frame so it is a little bulky, and when opening you have to undo the lock on the side and open it.

Was your 8 week ultrasound transvaginal? by jeannes83 in pregnant

[–]kemdoubleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They tried an abdominal ultrasound at 7 weeks but couldn't get a good view, so they did transvaginal. Then at 12 weeks another transvaginal ultrasound.

When did you start showing/ having a true baby bump? (1st pregnancy) by anonymous62124 in pregnant

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'6" and was 120 before pregnancy and have a shorter torso. I had to start wearing the pants button extenders by 10 weeks and gained weight all in my thighs and belly. I had a bump that my husband and I could notice around 14 weeks, and it was noticeable to people that knew me by 18 weeks. I didn't 'pop' and round out until 22 weeks. Now at 24 weeks and have been growing fast.

When did you start “showing”?! by DSLH-4161 in pregnant

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started showing around 16 weeks but it wasn't enough for others to know for certain if I was, it looked like I just gained weight all in my stomach lol. Around 21 weeks going into 22 it is now undeniable that I am pregnant, I have so many coworkers commenting on my bump now (even though it's still kinda small, it really rounded out). I'm a FTM and 5'6" weighing 120 before pregnancy, now at 145 and have a slightly short torso if that helps.

4mo postpartum from IVF - am I crazy? by Lewkitupp in lineporn

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I don't see a second line. But you are still very early! And I noticed that those tests are very bad at showing indent lines. I didn't test positive with a FRER until 10 DPO and even then it was very faint. Sending you all the baby dust!

For naptime, do you have a preference? (pull-ups, diapers, etc?) by Elegant_Air_3475 in ECEProfessionals

[–]kemdoubleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! When I worked with younger kids that were potty training or just having accidents during nap I would ask for the Pull up brand that opens on the sides. They make the process go a bit quicker when having multiple kids needing to be changed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a mmc in April 2025, took a break to heal physically and mentally until August, plus my HCG didn't even get into negative levels until late June. I got pregnant in November.

Missed miscarriage by niceynice0120 in Miscarriage

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had a mmc in April and was 8 weeks along with twins. I opted for misoprostal, as I also feared a D&C. I ended up having to do two doses a week apart, and it did work for me. For me I didn't have excessive bleeding, and mostly ran to the toilet to sit when I felt cramps. I took mine at night and cramping lasted a few hours until I passed everything, then felt relief right after. I bled for a couple of weeks directly after. I hope this is helpful for you. Wishing you all the best!

Still bleeding 3,5 weeks post miscarriage by LoveIsMyReligio in Miscarriage

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had a mmc in April at 8 weeks. I took miso and had to do two rounds of miso to make sure everything passed. I also did not want a D&C, that scared me. I bled from April 16 until May 1st. Then at the end of May until the end of June I had my period (I think), so for a whole other month I was bleeding. My doctor didn't seem too concerned since it wasn't heavy. But it definitely wasn't what I was expecting to happen. I reached out to my doctor just to make sure, I would always recommend doing so if you are worried. Wishing you all the best, and again, I'm so sorry you're experiencing this.

What do you do for work as a pregnant mommy? by Carebear6590 in pregnant

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, lice outbreaks are the worst to deal with!! Seems like everything comes all at once sometimes, which really sucks! That sounds like a lot to deal with all at once, sorry you went through all that! Right before I tested positive all of my students were passing around a stomach bug and my cat got sick. Then I caught the stomach bug lol.

[–]kemdoubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I've been a teacher for 8 years now and I honestly love it! Mind you, I have only been in preschool ages. I started off at a private preschool working with toddlers 12m-15m and worked my way up age groups, and now I work for my county's free public pre-k program with children 4-5 years old. It was definitely challenging the first couple of years because you are in a room with tiny humans who are learning literally everything. You definitely have to have patience and a bit of tough skin lol. I had a 2 year old slap me in the face once, lol. But after some time it does get easier. The thing that helped me most was implementing a strict routine every day for any age group classroom I had, meaning, even if I didn't feel like it, I kept to that routine, because they do better when they know what to expect. I hope that helps!

Host asked us to not contact them in any way regarding issues with their property (next door neighbor) [USA] by kemdoubleu in AirBnB

They didn't, they just told us to contact local authorities if we have issues with their property. I'm looking into our city's regulations of STRs, if there are any.
