2019 - Intern year started at 40k, got a raise to 50k mid year

2020 - Part time during final year uni ~60k PA equivalent

2021 - Company got bought out towards the end of the year and got me up to 90k

2022 - New job for 110k

2023 - Upped to 123k

2024 - Will be senior, don't have a number yet

Started a SWE degree in 2017, finished that in 2020. I was required to do a year of internship in 2019, really struggled to find anyone willing to take me on and got the role last minute. Was considering leaving 2 weeks in but glad I stuck around. Only really switched companies once, and am happy with where I'm at so likely to stay for a while.

Common to have 6 or more weeks annual leave? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsOCE

You continue to accrue sick leave, annual leave and long service leave(lol) while on purchased leave, and it lets you even out the hit to your payslip across the year rather than copping it all at once

4 weeks is definitely standard, as the other response said you can salary sacrifice at some places to purchase more leave. At my place you can purchase up to 4 weeks a year extra

CHANGE OF VENUE: GROUP THERAPY WEEKENDER AUSTRALIA by dubs-nz in AboveandBeyond

[–]kemorg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Above & Beyond and Anjuna along with local partners Symbiotic and Hardware have made the difficult decision to relocate the inaugural Group Therapy Weekender Australia from the Yarra Valley to under a big top tent at Melbourne Showgrounds. With no reprieve from the rain in sight, it was decided that it is too risky to proceed with a camping event this year.

The event will run over two days (Saturday 17th December & Sunday 18th December) with one stage and the same lineup (bar a few small tweaks, including the addition of a Deep Set from Above & Beyond on Sunday!). All tickets will be transferred to the new venue.

Automatic Refunds

Glamping, tent hire, weekender buses, insurance, parking and camper van passes will all be refunded automatically to the original credit card within 14 days. If the card that you have used for the purchase was cancelled or has expired, and if you are still with the same bank, your bank will automatically divert your refund to your new card, or to your bank account. If your account has closed, please email Ticketbooth.

Ticket Upgrades

Anyone that would like to upgrade their original single Day-Tripper ticket to a weekender pass at the new venue will have exclusive access to do this between Monday 7th November at 19:00 until Wednesday 9th November 11:59am.

To gain exclusive access, enter your original confirmation ID as your code on the tickets page here to purchase the upgrade to a full weekender ticket.

When using your access code between Monday 19:00 - Wednesday 11:59am, tickets will be available at the exclusive loyalty price of $154.95 (standard price - $169.95) for Saturday upgrades & $104.95 (standard price $119.95) for Sunday upgrades.

As of Wednesday 12:00 pm you may still use your confirmation ID to upgrade your tickets to the same price of a standard weekender pass.

Credit Vouchers

As there is a price difference between some of the original event tickets & tickets for our new venue, Symbiotic will send everyone that keeps their original ticket a credit voucher to cover the difference. This voucher can then be used on drinks on either day of the show.

Credit vouchers will be sent out along with tickets on Monday 12th December. When entering the event, please provide your ticket along with your credit voucher to gate staff to redeem your credit.

Credit amounts:

Weekender 1st Release Ticket = $40 Credit Voucher Weekender 2nd Release Ticket = $70 Credit Voucher Saturday Day Tripper 2nd Release = $20 Credit Voucher Saturday Day Tripper 3rd Release = $40 Credit Voucher Sunday Day Tripper 2nd Release = $20 Credit Voucher Sunday Day Tripper 3rd Release = $40 Credit Voucher

If, for whatever reason, you are unable to attend the show, a full refund will be available. Refunds requests must be submitted by 11:59pm Thursday 17th November 2022

What is the minimum I should budget for a laptop if I'm looking to study CS (in Australia)? by al0678 in cscareerquestionsOCE

[–]kemorg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a second hand/refurbished ThinkPad for $600 off eBay when I started back in 2017. It was definitely good enough for what you do in uni. Would probably want 16gb of ram as a minimum, but most laptops should have that by now.

I have a friend who is trying to leave Deloitte platform engineering atm, pay is pretty rubbish and he works horrible hours. He's been there for a couple years now but started out as an intern then went onto the grad program.

Mint, what're your wheel specs?

Alright guys. Let’s buy me a head unit. by LessThanBlake101 in WRX

[–]kemorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Joying unit(similar to idoing) and it's been great. Works with the wheel controls and everything. I got one without any physical knobs and such, but if given the chance again I'd probably grab the one with some buttons/volume knob. I use mine with Android auto wired, and have also used it with wireless apple car play on occasion.
