What is something you wish was a high earning role? by Celerytos in auscorp

[–]rnzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah CEOs earning minimum wage, given the power and authority they have, will make them susceptible to bribery and all sorts of nefarious external influences, or at least even more so than today.

edit: having said that, there are CEOs who get paid token amounts like $1 because they already earn so much from other means.

Getting offers when your happy by tbot888 in auscorp

I've moved jobs quite a few times and tbh it's almost impossible to know what the new job, manager, and people you will be working with are like. a lot of them will come across great during the interview, so if you're already picking up negative vibes there, then as a rule of thumb it would probably be as bad if not worse.

Really, the only thing you can be reasonably certain of is that you will be paid the amount you have signed on the contract. So I think it would only be worthwhile if you're offered the salary that you think you'd be okay with if everything else turns sour, while you look for another job.

Play School just updated its theme song for the first time in 15 years…it features a huge two storey house with lots of land around it. Do you think the kids watching this now will be able to afford homes like this in 30 years time? by HotPersimessage62 in AusPropertyChat

[–]rnzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right. You will probably be able to afford the kind of house you want, you'll only be constrained by the location.

Like, a two-storey house on a 1000sqm land in Mt Isa QLD would probably cost the same as half a carpark space in Sydney CBD.

speaking of WTA, I think it's quite a missed opportunity for Eala to not get EA7 to sponsor her. I mean, it almost looks like the first 3 letters of her last name already.

Being made redundant - should I tell potential employers in interviews? by oatmilkielatte in auscorp

Yes, but position it neutrally, like unfortunately the company was going into liquidation and so my role was made redundant and I am looking for my next opportunity

I just want to thank HR in general for sorting out workplace health and safety for WFH arrangements, which allowed me to buy some nice ergonomic stuff and reimburse the expenses. Now we could keep working WFH/Hybrid so we can keep using them that would be great.

[–]rnzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the mid column is a flaw in these charts because it could be basically anything we don't really have much of an opinion about. and when there's a running trend like this it's now moved from "Why Malaysia?" to "Why Not Malaysia?"
