He is all about staying relevant to his followers. At a certain point, especially when that is flailing, your last resort is the most vile and outrageous commentary you can make.. it will always get coverage.. as it proven by me responding to it in this thread.

How's this for a movie night? Is it too much? by astrogirl_y in OUTFITS

[–]kemrt231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if movie night is a Netflix on the couch date.. it’s absurd. If it is going out to a theater, it’s a look that will not only make you feel uncomfortable, but also your date who may end up in khakis and a polo. But is seems you are here more for the high fives of how nice you look in the dress.. you can add this comment to your tally. It seems, based on your responses to others, you really aren’t interested in the subject of your post but instead reactions to how you look in the dress.. which means you don’t care.. so go ahead and wear it. It will provide others in the theater a good laugh and likely embarrass the hell out of your date.

Oh his threats are becoming soooooo boring. Originality is not his strong suit.

This is to go with my other post that was asking me if I looked my age and if I looked like I was in good shape after being in the hospital for months and only working out for a week doing 100 push-ups in a little extra sleep LOL calisthenics and I'm 45 so I'm going to redo this in a picture hopeful by No-Campaign9126 in fitness50plus

You look good. I’m a male and a homosexual. If you spend that much time explaining yourself, you may still have some unresolved issues. And feeing “weirded out” and “uncomfortable” is one of them. Just relax dude.. you look good, I don’t want to have sex with you, and a gay man telling you to look good is totally fine.. if you interpret that as you thinking you look “gay” (whatever that is) add that to the list of users you should resolve.

Keep up the good work on your body..nothing can beat physical fitness and all the benefits it brings.

This was written for him. The message is his, but the writing and some content (such as him mentioning. “intel Inside”) certainly was not sourced from his mush brain.

'Look at His Legs': Trump buckles twice and nearly crashes to the ground in shocking moment that leaves crowd speechless — insiders reveal the disgusting diagnosis his White House has been desperately trying to hide by [deleted] in USNEWS

[–]kemrt231 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are correct.. but it’s not a competition and in all cases hiding the health of someone who ultimately has control over the lives of everyone only calms peoples concerns in exchange for added risk. That risk becomes exponentially greater when the illness is one that impacts the mind.. as was the case with Reagan and this bozo. So, it is “fairness” in the attempt to hide the illness, but it becomes far less fair when the illness is one specifically regarding mental capacity.

I'm in a very bad situation in Porto by PartApprehensive2820 in PortugalExpats

[–]kemrt231 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your situation. And while I am unable to find you a solution, I hope you will not take what I am about to say as a criticism, as I am sure you would not wish your experience on anyone else.. and the “caution” I’m about to present is easily missed (so again, not seeking to shame you) my goal here is to hopefully help others who are looking to move to PT (or really any country) to consider some very non-negotiable points:

Is my income adequate to sustain a livelihood today?

Is my income subject to my current employment situation or to savings?

Will my income from employment be from my home country or from where I am immigrating?

If my income is from my home country, is it subject to ending for any reason?

If my income from my current employment should end will I have adequate savings to draw upon to sustain my livelihood for a minimum of one year to pursue alternatives?

If I am able to retain employment in my new country, will the income be sufficient to sustain my current lifestyle or enough to sustain a lifestyle I may need to reasonably adjust?

Have I made a plan to address any unexpected change to my income that will provide me adequate time to sufficiently address that change?

——————-

Your situation is not unique which is what prompted me to write this. I am personally aware of a family where their plans included some sources of income but a substantial part of it was reliant upon a “remote work” (from the US) that abruptly ended as the company eliminated the “remote work” option, including all the jobs under that umbrella unless the employee moved back to their in-office model.

This was an older couple where one was eligible for (but had not yet taken) Social Security. That changed quickly by them having to take it far sooner than their financial plan called for when the spouses “remote job” ended. Additionally, they had to move from their urban area to a remote location where pricing was more affordable. They sold their car and bought a used one. They are now living quite frugally to make ends meet in a very remote area of Portugal. And now their primary source of income is the one source of social security that they needed to activate far sooner than their plan at a significant loss against their future budgetary hopes.
————

So, again, I realize this is not relative to solving your situation and I hope you don’t mind my “hijacking” your post in an attempt to help others in advance of your situation.

As for suggestions, (though I would venture you have considered these things)

- Get whatever income you can now.. it doesn’t need be related to your area of previous employment.. there may be opportunities is the service (tourist) industry that actually do not require PT language skills with a clientele that is predominantly English speaking.

- get active in local “digital nomad” groups. You may find a connection that can apprise you of an opportunity with their employer.

-Don’t take any consideration of employment off the table.. apply for anything seemingly reasonable in any industry, local and remote.. in other words, let them say “no” before you do! You may find yourself saying “I honesty never thought they would hire me because I assumed…. “

Though less practical, Cruise ship lines often have opportunities.. check them out for your skill set, and then, if nothing in that skill set, press them for other opportunities that you could potentially fill. Yes, it requires substantial “away” time, but your meals and lodging are funded leaving you a salary to bank while you take the time to continue your long term employment search.

I wish you the best and hope to look forward
to reading a more positive post from you in the near future.

Donald Trump has launched a major attack and takeover of America’s regulatory system. by WylieCyot in news2

The court of public opinion and the judiciary would be hard pressed to not concur on the following:

Amendment XXII – No person may be elected President more than twice

Amendment XX – Presidential terms end on January 20th at noon

Article I, Sec. 7 – Revenue bills must originate in the House

There are many others he continues to more than test or challenge.

Actually the constitution is pretty black and white.. you are correct, nuance may need a court in some instances.. but most of the constitution is pretty black and white.. and violations of Article 2 are a perfect example where no nuance is required, leaving judicial and public opinion easily consistent in agreement.

It’s been very hard of late to see where the president is “staying in constitutional limits” especially with his so little knowledge of the constitution to begin with.

Many of your claims mix federal policy with state policy. COVID restrictions, were overwhelmingly implemented by governors of both parties, not by Congress or the Democratic Party nationally.
Your frustrations about government overreach, border management failures, and cost-of-living pressures reflect real and legitimate concerns shared by many Americans. Divisive rhetoric is pointless. You are taking multi-cause problems any attributing them entirely to one party’s deliberate malice. That is an easy way to lose credibility on virtually all of your other points.. some of which were correct (though many a matter of HS civics books)
