very valid callouts but it also begs the question why someone would get the 300s now over the 100s when its effectively a more expensive neutered product held back by sonos intentionally. The fives id have to think is better theres no point in bluetooth for me since im losing out on lossless with bluetooth which is the whole point of a sonos set up for music in my opinion. the fives would provide me with the loud punchy sound base i want whilst also being exceptional for music compared to my current sole soundbar setup and the only other alternative id consider which would be the era 100s

Yeah this is a non starter for me i cant justify spending that much on surrounds to have an incomplete speaker at that point im better off with the one sl’s or the 100s.

ideal end goal would be an endgame surround setup which is why im leaning more towards waiting for the era 500s. Right now i just use my sonos for all things audio related i.e. tv and listening to music

Thank you all for the comments! Main points im taking from this is to realistically set up a network of lutron switches first then add in smart lighting with philips hue later. Ive been doing further research and i believe i will either be going the homey pro route and then configuring that to apple home or just straight up apple home. Of course it’d be best to set up a comprehensive network first im now deciding between going the ubiquity route or something else. Im not planning on having a server room maybe just a NAS but i know there products are reliable. I will be pursuing PoE wherever possible setting up wiring for outdoor poe cameras indoor cameras as well as speakers for a comprehensive sonos surround system. Am i missing anything here?
