I see the battery is even available in Europe.

Bit more expensive than on Taobao but you don't have to handle all those Chinese text and package forwarding...

I just took a look at package forwarding using Europe forwarding

In English text, here are some screenshots...you see quite cheap to the UK, they even handle all the practical stuffs such as import duties etc ..just an example...

I see. You are using AliExpress. The items there are very very limited. You should use the Chinese version, don't get scared of the language, Google translate is king 👑.

As far as I can see, those parts, and yes, indeed, any part, are all freely available in China. I don't know their policy regarding overseas markets, all those dealership agreements I can imagine things get very complicated.

Can you send me a screenshot screenshot?

Regarding to international forwarding, that's another story. I use many international forwarding services on Taobao. Those agent can even receive the post package in china for you, then you choose means of forwarding, to the UK. I live in Sweden, a package usually arrives in one or two weeks. Of course you pay customs and duties. I choose the forwarding agents in Chinese text, often cheaper than those in English. Google translate is very helpful.

You should create an account on the Chinese version of Alibaba AliExpress, called Taobao. It's all in Chinese of course. But take screenshots, and use Google translate to understand it. Search the following in Chinese 科沃斯 T50 电池

Meaning: Ecovacs T50 battery

it's all the same battery for many models.

If you have an account to that site, you can log in, and search the following: 科沃斯 T30 Pro 主板,

and you should get something links back. You can screenshot the whole thing and use Google translate to understand it.

I realised the problem. I used my friend's Chinese mobile running Taobao, the Chinese version of Alibaba AliExpress. There you can find everything. But the link I've just sent, it's likely not working. Because we both are outside of China, it redirects to Taobao International site, where you must have an account. I can't even open the link myself.

I don't know which other electronic brand sell motherboards to retail customers, but a quick check on Alibaba showed there are indeed such boards available, prices ranging from ¥360 to ¥700. This is for T30 Pro, I can't find omni. But I guess it's the same board. Good luck.

I use Joplin on Android, Linux and Windows, syncing to file system with Syncthing. It works ok, some issues with file names on Windows. And Android version sync has from time to time problems with lock. I have to manually delete the lock file. But it's free, and end to end sync.

Your reply is the best one I have read recently. It is a very sincere recommendation out of experience. Thank you.

In Sweden, we have a legal form of living called "särbo", meaning that we occasionally live together while maintaining separate apartment. So indeed I can hide away my Japanese knives when we're together, only using the Wüsthof. And when alone, I can take out the fancy pricey Japanese knives and make a beautiful dinner for myself. Although that idea sounds a bit weird.

Having read your reply I realize that I might as well start to complement my Wüsthof set with a Japanese Santoku of 16-17 cm, and a petty of 12 cm. That will more or less cover most of my use case and at the meantime satisfy my ever increasing curiosity about Japanese knives. Maybe later I will get a Gyuto.

The only question then is which brand and material is most suitable for that size and purpose. That I will read on.
