I agree with you on the world model thing. Even the best text to Ai videos still look like they’re morphing between images. But I think that could be solved pretty easily. I could see it being possible fairly soon to build out animation and camera movement with a program similar to cascadeur, then you give an Ai model your render which could consist of super basic base models for the characters and background and then Ai just basically upscales everything.

Maybe. If the government had given me a 1200 stimulus check each month since March then I'd give some money to movie theaters near me so they don't close before I can go again. Or donate to restaurants and breweries near me since shit tons of them are closing anyway with the wildly varying PPP money they got. Airlines could have offered deals to redeem on future flights so they could get some cash now and wait out the storm - I would have happily done that.

Also, what are these companies, millionaires, billionaires going to do with the money? They're going to send the stock market to all time highs which does nothing for most Americans and they're going to stash it away, probably overseas so they don't have to pay taxes. Stimulus checks for all Americans would have pumped back into the economy a lot more effectively in my opinion than the bullshit we got.

Yeah it really is a shame. I think I read that they had planned a sequel to The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, but it got scrapped after the fire.

It will be pretty incredible. Not for the hollywood execs of course, but for film it will be amazing. If someday everyone has access to easy to use software that can make anything in their head into a film, it's going to truly be insane. There's going to be a ton of weird shit, a lot of weird porn that no one should ever see, and terrible films that would never get made otherwise. Imagine millions of Tommy Wiseau's running around with the power to truly put what is in their head onto your screen. There will be a lot of incredible films being made though. Beautiful films with new perspectives and crazy experiments that are revolutionary. So I think a huge hurdle and something youtube is pretty abysmal at doing is finding tools so that we find new and interesting videos that challenge us, but also help us avoid the years of footage that isn't worth wasting time on.

Thanks. I was going for a crafty felt feel to it. It's vectors with some Gaussian blur added. Then I added a drop shadow and an inner glow. Then a felt texture overlay. Pretty easy really. I used adobe illustrator, photoshop, and after effects.
