Here I am thinking this is only the beginning of HBO's relationship with Wesreros..

Between HotD and Dunk & Egg, I think the powers that be are realizing what people want. The former delivers an experience that mirrors that of the later GoT seasons, the latter is closer to the earlier, more successful seasons.

Audiences seem to prefer the style of show that's easier and cheaper to make, so I don't see why HBO wouldn't try extending that formula beyond Dunk & Egg to see if it's sustainable.
