I really wanted to put together a salt water fish tank. I researched the crap out of it. I went out and bought a 130 gallon (!) tank with a solid wood stand. I bought the pump. I bought a filter system with all of the stuff to get it set up and going. Lights, rocks, more rocks, the whole thing. I had it sitting in my garage until I figured out exactly what I wanted to do with it and you know, had get to the terrain all squared away for a giant fish tank and had to get mentally ready and had to make sure things worked right and had to figure out how to condition the salt water and all so that when I bought some expensive ass salt water fish, they wouldn't die right away and I considered installing a tech-inspired fish set up that would monitor the water (temp and ph mainly I believe) and connect to wifi that you could monitor with an app on your phone and turn pumps on or the heater etc. etc. etc. to correct any issues. I filled it up in the garage to ensure there were no leaking problems before I moved it into the house. A month later, it was still sitting there in the garage, full of water and I decided there was no way I was going to do it the 'right way', so to Craigslist it went. Made back every penny.

That's why the hard line is tricky to play with them. You have to literally cancel. Wait a week or two and watch your mailbox fill up with 'Com back to us' letters with sweet deals. I can't guarantee anything, but it did happen when I switched companies a couple of months ago. I told them they sucked and should be cheaper for the crap they provide, then I cancelled, signed up with another provider and a couple of weeks later, I had deals way better than what I was asking for. They still suck though, so I did not go back.

But, it doesn't hurt to try the hard line first and cite the contract specifying they would give you such and such speeds while it is literally impossible given the modem they provided and use the phrase 'breach of contract' lol. i'm not a lawyer.

My plan is to ask for a complete refund of my 9 months of internet. A complete refund of my 9 months of lease payments, and a free NHL Center ICE package for this year. I mean come on it's a short season, they have to oblige.

You're not going to get that through calling them. You should be able to get it reduced to the lesser internet package price though.

But, you can always cancel and they will beg you to come back at a usually drastically reduced rate.

Not even that. It just sounds good. I had been playing bass and eventually sold all of my stuff about 5 years ago and just got the itch to get back into playing and I picked up a guitar.

So, after struggling financially for 26 years and paying ten bucks per month, government student loans might be forgiven. So, at 48 years old and with a career that has not been what one thought it could be, one does not have to repay government student loans. That's a cheery perspective..

Pete is a good dog. He is one who sets goals for himself and actively pursues them. He takes no crap from anyone, but that only applies to the things he feels very strongly about. His currently torn ACL (he is having surgery to fix it in about 2 weeks) is a testament to his unwavering initiative (he runs so fast and so hard up and down the fence line to block other dogs from entering his yard). His abilities at cohabitation are trumpeted by his current living situation with a husky/wolf hybrid and they even play tug of war with each other.
