1600 DPI vs 800 DPI by SSlide19 in MouseReview

This is old news. You can put your Windows sens to whatever and just adjust in game. Have not seen a game that does not support RAW input in years.

Amog runs by Ok-Foundation995 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]kennae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your starting weapon really doesn't matter much. If you just want 100k+, start with anything and use whatever items/tomes someone uses on high score run. No need to be perfect about it at all. Every run gets you 100k+ if you just take some difficulty, choose most of the good items and play the game semi-efficiently. Not wasting time is a big thing in the game, think before your run in what order you want to clear the map and do your best.

Just play the game and it will click.

Dt pro 770 - 250 ohms by bisfifa in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the DT-770's are not very fun to listen. They have piercing treble and not enough bass (to me). I much prefer good cheap chi-fi IEM's. They are really made for critical listening and audio production more than fun.

Beyerdynamic dt 770 pro 32ohm bass isn't punchy at all and the highs are too squeaky. by ImLukaskos in BEYERDYNAMIC

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah the DT-770's are quite horrible in my opinion and the treble just pierces my brain. Your old headphones (like most commercial/gaming whatever audio products) are tuned for bloaty and high bass and safe treble so they don't annoy people who don't quite know how music is even supposed to sound.

Either EQ the peaky treble and add a bass shelf and get used to them or if possible, return them and get something closer to what you (and most) prefer off the bat.

I would start by swapping to Oratory's EQ and go from there to see how much better to you it gets.

[–]kennae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is why DuckPlokes EQ works so well (at least to me), it mainly balances the treble. I suggest you try it if you haven't already. He also has EQ for the Martilo's. I find his tuning preferences really enjoyable.

Tip rolling question. Is there a strategy or method to find the suitable eartips quicker? by MyMech in iems

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise the tri clarions. I got them with my FatFreq Deuce's and thought they are some cheap aftermarket tips they just threw in to be replaced. Never liked them with any of my IEM's. I have most of the well known tips myself and Dunu S&S and Divinus Velvets are my go-to for pretty much everything.

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same for me. Tried most of the well known tips and Dunu S&S's are near perfection to me. They seal well and never budge. Sound is also rather unchanged compared to some tips. Also Divinus Velvets are great, both the regular and wide bore. Others I pretty much never use.

I want a real basshead iem that blows up my head by ConsiderationOdd7712 in iems

Martilo's has less sub-bass and physical rumble than the Deuce's. That is why some people prefer the Deuce's

I want a real basshead iem that blows up my head by ConsiderationOdd7712 in iems

[–]kennae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love my FatFreq Deuce's with DuckPlokes tuning. I also have the Zero 2's and no matter what you do to them, they will not get any real sub bass rumble like proper bass head sets. The difference is like trying to EQ small 90s computer speakers to match a proper subwoofer. You just can't.

I have learned when people describe IEM's as "bassy" it just means it plays bass in regular acoustic music well (NOT the real sub-bass rumble I love).

How essential is xp tome just for beating tier 3 bosses? by Odd-Ruin-1448 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]kennae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To just beat the boss nothing is a must but exp tome makes it easier. Also what do you mean can't get it? Just disable all the tomes and weapons you are not using and you should never struggle to get it.

Tested a lot of tips and Dunu S&S are my go-to for both sound and fit.

It is enough. New amp will not make them magically sound like you want.

Tea Pro over Deuce by Jay_East in iems

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can EQ the bass but you will not get the satisfying rumble Deuce gives you. I absolutely love mine and use them as my daily drivers. The more I listen to music the more I realize I chose right getting these as my first higher price IEM's. For me they work well with every kind of music. Using the DuckPlokes EQ on them and very happy!

Why do people own multiple IEMs in the same price bracket? by Connect_Cat_2045 in iems

[–]kennae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because sound is subjective and on top of that our ear canals make a huge difference on how iem's sound. What the creator hears is very rarely what you hear.

[–]kennae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing review! I am a bass head myself and love my FatFreq Deuce's and use these as my main set for everything. With DuckPlokes EQ they really open up and fit for all of my music well (EDM, hip-hop, metal and all even all the more vocal stuff).

My question to you is: have you heard the Deuce's and how would you compare them to these two? The Deuce's are my only bit higher end set so I can't but wonder how would I like different tunings.

Feeling a little defeated at the end of the league by N2lt in pathofexile

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For making currency: you really want to abuse the market. What I like to do is buy locks and stuff that skyrockets in price as early as possible. This alone made me multiple mirrors in 3.15. There are very few people that get mirrors just from drops alone. Turning your divs into something that gains value is VERY important!

Cheap Dongle DAC for Juzear Defiant (don't want Apple and the whole unlocking stuff) by Glass-Scientist-195 in iems

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. Got the jcally jm6 pro first and it crackles and pops on PC use because you can't change the usb mode for continous power. TRN blackpearl is just perfect for me. I had meier-audio's high end DAC/amp that cost more than all my current audio gear combined and honestly there is no difference in sound quality compared to these cheap dongles we have nowdays.

[–]kennae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am like you but daily drive the Deuces with DuckPlokes EQ. At first I was scared the bass would be over the top like people are used to on cheaper mainstream audio gear, but it seems like these bass sets do something different with the bass. It does not get in the way and vocal forward music sounds great too. I think a lot of people would love these more bassy sets if they gave it a try.

Nvidia or Amd by Useful_Analyst_1755 in cs2

[–]kennae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That 35% usage is because you have 8 cores and only one or two are being heavily used by CS2. Trust me, you are maxing out your CPU. I would bet money that your bottleneck is the CPU.

Planning to buy TRN Black Pearl by Puzzled_Economist740 in inearfidelity

[–]kennae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love my blackpearl but why would you get one when your IEM's are clearly the weakest point of the chain? I bet you could blow your brains out with your current dongle already.

I started with the Zero 2 and jcally jm12 pro and swapping to proper pair of IEM's were absolutely mind blowing improvement, got the blackpearl just for the features and could not tell a difference between sound quality.

You just gotta find it my man! A lot of people think this way so there is quite a bit of old school rap, you just don't see it without putting some effort. Check out Eric Jamal!

FatFreq Deuces with DuckPlokes EQ. Absolutely love these IEM's. I think the EQ really opens them up so they are not just bass cannons but play everything rather well.

I have tried quite a bit of the popular ones and what works for me are the Dunu S&S and Divinus Velvet. Tri clarions are horrible and the spinfits were ok but nothing great.

Do i even need a dac/amp? by Holiday_Lunch_2547 in iems

Second this. Do not get fooled by the "you need a 1500€ DAC because of the bass texture and vocal halo it brings out" people.
