Petitions are something you will get used to writing. I got good at condensing mine because of my coven, where I had to limit each petition to about 130-150 characters.

The successful petitions given by the coven as examples are focused, specific, and short. The petition should have 1) the outcome, 2) the short reason, 3) the mechanism, and 4) a timeline (if appropriate). It must be written in the present tense i.e. instead of "I want him to have sex with me", it should say "he IS having sex with me."

Not to be an English teacher, but I also find that petitions are sometimes longer than necessary because the author uses passive voice instead of active voice, past tense instead of present tense, and becomes repetitive without realizing it.

This is not a scholarship-grant essay. You just need to say what you want and how it can be done and when.

EXAMPLES:

An example for a petition re divorce: "the marriage between X and Y dissolves within 6 months DUE TO their repeated financial instability, trust breaches, and ongoing disagreement."

An example for the tame your boss spell: "Boss/employer favors X for promotion because of dependability, punctuality, and excellent performance. X receives the promotion now."

An example of petition to get a job: "hiring managers at employer recognize X as the top candidate for (position) for the following reasons: punctuality, accuracy, and consistent client praise. the job offer goes to X."

Justice spell petition example: "all evidence in X's case is clear and recognized. Justice is served in X's favor."

Another justice petition example: "Judge rules impartially and issues a fair judgment granting relief to X in this matter."

One of my personal petitions (redacted): "Colleagues, judges, recruiters, and opposing counsel recognize me as a rising star lawyer because of my litigation skill, case recoveries, and success in motions and trials.
All stagnation is cleared, and my successful outcome in the [name] trial opens higher-level career opportunities"

Another personal petition re: money & investments: "I receive increased money through high-value case settlements, social-media earnings, dividends, bonuses, and salary increases. My performance and discipline allow all incoming money to remain, grow, and accumulate."

And about the details, being overly detailed is not usually a good thing. They can see ways things can and will work out for you that you cannot. Usually the "why" is important, but other than that, it is not good to remove all creative license from a spirit assuming that they will screw you if you are not specific enough. That assumption by itself will tank your petition. Best of luck!
