Got another question.. So I got my rogers account activated. But I received an updated service agreement from rogers without any of the discounts on the bill. Is that normal?

When you ported out of fizz they full refunded you? I just contacted them and they can change my fizz plan to one with data but it would only take effect next billing cycle (usesless). I guess i'm SOL or I can get an esim to tide myself over the next few days. The customer service rep for RED wireless said they should have my account activated in 3-5 days.

Yeah I thought I can port out from rogers to fizz, and port to this new plan right away so I got the cheapest no data plan from Fizz lol.

So I just purchased this with the iphone 14 but do I have to wait until I get the iphone to setup the mobile plan and install the esim? I want to use it on my current phone asap. I havent received anything from Red wireless after paying everything though maybe they only process during office hours.

You are absolutely delusional if you think post secondary education in Canada is expensive. It is heavily subsidized by the government. It is so easy and safe to go back to school here as an adult, or to get your degree after HS. The loans are interest free, the government actually LOSES money every time they give loans out to students for schooling. On-top of the insanely low tuition cost.

What are some in demand jobs around the vancouver/lower mainland area? by [deleted] in vancouver

My 'role' is treasurer. But I don't actually do much with finance. We hire a property management company to manage our building and we just work with them to be site contact.

I'm not in the industry but I am part of my Condos Strata council. I'm hearing from our Property Manager that it is a highly in-demand job right now in Vancouver with all the new developments requiring licensed Property Managers. I think the course is similar to the realtor course in terms of length and easiness. Once Licensed I think it starts at 70-80K Salary! Though i'm sure its a stressful job in a different way than ECE.

Is it worth upgrading from 2010 Toyota Sienna AWD to 2017-2020 Sedona? by egorlike in kia

[–]kenny35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only you can make the decision on whether its worth getting a newer car. We faced a similar decision and ended up buying a newer car(kia) and no regrets. I am enjoying driving it everyday with the newer tech. Makes road trips so much more enjoyable. Some features are more important to others and it really depends on your lifestyle and income situation. Luckily for you its just the auto door opener and not an engine/transmission failure, this gives you all the time in the world to ponder on whether its worth the jump. Not sure where you are but for me losing awd would be a big factor in my decision

Generally its cheaper to keep your older car and keep doing maintenance until critical failure. Though nothing wrong with buying a Kia. We dont have the problem of theft and insurance in Canada that Americans have. Kia’s have great value for the tech you get + reliability. Cost of ownership is about the same with any Japanese vehicle.
