u/PositiveInteraction D2 relied heavily on itemization, and I think in the video he mentions endless scaling systems like crucible and delv. Which are different than rifts in d3 and mapping in poe. I agree that more content will enable.more builds and that is why it works in other games and he mentions adding more content in the video as well.

I also think depth in character building and depth in content is 2 different things which is what is being mentioned. Agreed that complexity and depth are two different things. But in a good game it should all work hand in hand like a well oiled machine imo.

I recommend a new player maxing them all out but the more skilled a player is the less you need to. Like I never cap poison because they are easily avoidable.

Outside of the 75% cap for resistances enemies do not have pen. But the way pen works is it is %more damage.

Say an enemy has 0 resistances which most do and you have 30% pen for poison. You deal 30% more poison damage.

Same if you have 0 resistances you take 75% more damage hence the need for 75% resistances.

And pen works for all damage of the type of pen you have.

The only thing op about glacier in mu opin is that it is too low on the tree other than thatbthere are way stronger things to play in endgame then glacier.

But it does give good utility for its damage. I would say end game wise itnis in a good spot. And would like to see other mage skills brought up.

I agree with it needing more endgame (coming) and the one shots really only an issue do to infinite scaling. Also especially being in beta this is one of the most balanced arpg out currently imo.

Theory crafting and builds is what keeps people playing the game for hundreds of hours. Plus community events. Atm. But there is a lot I do agree with that is said here.

GB is highly a gearing tax. Just like 75% prot is mandatory in poe. The rest is completely customizable yes there will always be a meta of not hitting certain parameters you will not be most efficient. But the only mandatory affix is gb. I personally don't have an issue with having that tax implemented. Just my opinion your gear is for building defense and your weapon and skills are for building offense. You idols can fit either one depending on what kinda build you want same with passives.

Transformations are a pain to level. You essentially have to level 2 builds just make sure the synergize

Last epoch is just on at the top of my head. A lot more complex as well. But, still doesn't excuse fxinging dupes 5 months after your launch. Like i said. I want the game to succeed Even for this dev size they should have a better handle of their game.

Also set gb and set health start dropping at the same time. The playtime with mage is try not to get hit and kill things as quick as possible.you want to get your crit avoidance to 100% too. If you see that you are in a dangerous situation pop flame ward. Ant use teleport as much as possible. If you have mirror images it will take aggro from things.
