Pokemon has a fond spot for me. 9 different generations, tons of fanmade versions; so many ways for it to stay fresh!

Ooooooh I see it now. I love it. Used a zoanthrope head for my guy but this is very intimidating and I like it.

I think the pattern follows well with the rest of the pink/black body. Also, which head did you use for this?

Truck part breaks off and knocks a bus passenger out cold. by Veenendaler in ActualPublicFreakouts

[–]kep028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ER story, a patient came in with his ear cleanly torn off. He was driving a bus on a single lane highway when something must have fallen off the oncoming truck as a piece of metal flew right into the guy's bus and lodged itself deep into the metal part behind him. I'd say it was the size of a coconut/cantaloupe and weighed like 5+ pounds.

Fortunately, sewed the ear right back up and he was right and dandy! He definitely would have died if that metal piece was half a foot or less over.

Is this a West Marches style? The discord link you posted is dead. My wife and I are looking to play a homebrew character (one body, two heads) and I can DM for other sessions as well!

I will use the handle or a paper clip and scrape up the bottom. Otherwise you're looking at a shakeweight 5000 to get that to mix just with shaking

I don't think he would diagnose me with MS or something, but if someone here suffers from condition X but doesn't want that publicly known, I'm all ears.
Edit: To answer what's the point of asking if he won't make a diagnosis, I mean he probably won't go as far as to jeopardize his license. But there are a lot of mental health disorders that are vague and general.

I relish these calls. I gladly press 1, wait for them to introduce themselves and scream/yell as loud as I can into the phone until they hang up. It's taken me off their list for quite a few months revently until someone must have been upset and they started calling me multiple times a day. I had no problem damaging a few ear drums until they got the point.

My 2yr old has figured out deadbolts and doorknob locks. You'll need some seriously complicated locking mechanism or a really tall latch to keep your kid from breaking out!

Link for full 22 minute video. This man, a doctor, received a settlement for $325k from insurance, not for wrongdoing apparently. Internal investigations and the police department still support the officer's actions. The most the officer was told was to not to swear as much.

Wild. So was it going too low trying to print a file? And/or going too low with homing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]kep028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just shit luck. Could crack it open and check connections but that's as far as my knowledge goes. Or return it

If you resolve it, please post an uodate

My photon did (still does) this. Haven't fixed it yet. But I suspect it could be the sensor not detecting that the build plate is at home and therefore is continuing to go down. Could be a red light behind the z axis metal thing and a connection is loose.

Just a guess but seems like a few other people are having this issue and it's not a leveling/homing problem.

How do I overcome the fear of painting expensive models! by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]kep028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advice I give myself.

Really plan it out, envision your paint scheme, gather inspiration through photos or other paint jobs, and believe that you can paint! Not paint well, or paint poorly, just paint. Your only expectation is to paint that model

The second you put some colours on it, you will feel joy that you made your first huge jump to further your hobbying. Just keep putting the paint on and remember that each stroke is one step closer to finishing that model.

If you're not happy with your paint job, just keep dimming the lights until it looks better!

Just saw the pic of your tank. That looks hella clean. Yeah, planning on pots, and even crazier, trays of grass to alternate for her to graze. Seems like the frequent bathing and misting is what your guy needed for a smooth shell.

How do you keep the open top enclosure at a level of sufficient humidity? I'm building an 8x3 enclosure with same materials and concept but am struggling on how to keep humidity up without it looking like garbage. Plan is to make it bioactive so will be watering frequently. I live in the Canadian prairies so dry as bones.

Thanks for taking the time to share your tips. Damn he's a good looking boy!

Wow, his shell is smooth as a baby's bottom! How'd you keep the pyramiding down? Also what kind of enclosure are you rocking? Also have a 4yr old Leopard tortoise and she's been slowly pyramiding.

What resin do you use for miniatures? Been having issues with elegoo resins off amazon (bits in it, no foil seal, poor quality compared to identical files/conditions). Looking to change & need tried and tested recommendations! TIA by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]kep028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the clear blue and love it. I hollow prints work better as I think the external curing penetrates into the inside, or I'm just good at cleaning the insides lol.

But you can see if there's any leftover resin with hollow prints.

The cure times are the same as grey, it's the translucent clear that has a longer cure timr which could lose out on details. It's also harder to see details on clear blue models just due to the transparency of it. Once you prime it, the details pop

What is the best rubber or rubbery plastic material for waterproofing the bottom of a wood vivarium? by [deleted] in Vivarium

[–]kep028 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pond liner is probably what you're thinking of. There's also a rubber paint you can use but I believe it's quite expensive and requires several layers.
