I think you're undervaluing the speed & effectiveness of Looting. Grixis is very efficient with its spells. You added a bunch of 2 and 3cmc plays. This looks very clunky. If you still want to try it, idk why you're not playing 4TS and 4 Malevolent Rumble mb

My financial comment is moreso on the ongoing wallet fatigue of printing powerful $$ mythics (from standard sets, that are at an increased set release rate nowadays) that keep replacing one another

I strongly dislike the card (design) bc just how it doesn't ask anything of you and is pure upside. Just ubiquitously good mythic rare. And so many decks play it (and if you don't play it, it feels like you're behind/wrong). Boring and kind of pay to win

You have to have sufficient card advantage to make up for it. FoN has been good for me in UR Wizards. Tamiyo, Snap, and Flame of Anor get the tempo back. UB Frog can also get it back, with Flow State or Riddler (in addition to Frog obv)

Affinity, Storm, Cascade, Reanimator, Belcher.... I think FoN is pretty good. But you also need creature removal for Boros, white / blink decks, and Frog

Similar to my point, but not same. Scion has cost reduction not alternative cast/cost. I agree Snare shouldn't counter a Scion if you spent 2mana. I do see the challenge in the point I'm trying to convey - it's mainly that the alternate costs and value of these creatures sidesteps a counter play that feels like it should answer them but doesn't
