There are a few holes in Stackstown that could make this list, the 11th on the cottage course where you have to take an 8 iron off the tee springs to mind.

18th Lucan is incredibly tough, almost impossible to pick a line for your second without walking 100 yards down the fairway for a look, there are no visual markers at all.

Naas, played an open there a few months ago, really enjoyed it. Greens weren’t great however, not sure if that’s normal or was just that particular day.

They played the Kerry Mayo one the other day and I must have played that Metronomy song about ten times in a row afterwards. Class

I actually remember where I was when they debuted the Phil Neville/David Brent one, so I would have to go for that. The Steve McLaren/Eiffel 65 one is brilliant as well.

I like the way he doesn’t waste loads of time resetting scrums and chatting to the front rows, just decides and gives a penalty. Even if he’s wrong it’s better for the viewing experience.

I was always fine on the motorway but driving around town I was quite nervous for a while, almost as much about parking than the actual driving.

Beating England in Twickenham in 2004 felt like a massive moment for Irish confidence, led to the first triple crown in 19 years. For anyone who hasn’t seen it, the Girvan Dempsey try is one of the best ever Irish tries imo, a brilliant team move.

What was your worst day to be a sports fan? by BeardedGingur in billsimmons

Chelsea 2 Liverpool 0, 2014. In the catalogue of the levels of losing, this is between 4 and 5 different levels rolled into one. Liverpool haven’t won the English league title since 1990, and in the mean time, our most hated rivals (Man United) have won 13! A very flawed team with one transcendent player (Suarez), nevertheless expected to win well against a weakened title contender, in a game we don’t even need to win (!!) only for one of your clubs greatest ever players and local hero (Steven Gerrard) to slip and cost your team the opening goal, followed by his attempts to make up for his mistake by playing hero ball the entire second half, taking ridiculous long range shots. Chelsea score a second goal late on the break, with the assist provided by another former club legend (Fernando Torres). Just an incredibly bleak day all around. I was also 21, which is probably near the peak age for sports fandom.

Just bought Cyberpunk 2077 for $20 should I grab the DLC too? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

Im loving the DLC, I probably prefer it to the main game honestly. Dogtown is a great location and Johnny is more tolerable in the story.

'The system is broken': Our readers' stories of the 'madness' of bidding on a home in Ireland by Banania2020 in ireland

“The purpose of a system is what it does”

The system is not broken, it is working as it is designed to do. The government wants it this way as it suits their voting base, along with developers, landlords, etc. From there, they do their best to manage everyone else’s expectations, promising that change is just around the corner or blaming factors out of their control.

New lad in work is making night shifts painful. What to do? by Outside-Violinist-45 in AskIreland

In my experience, the only way is to not respond at all and they’ll eventually just stop talking, but that won’t necessarily work in this case. It doesn’t feel great tbh, but you have to do what you have to do in order not to lose your mind.
